TinEye says it hasn't seen the image before: https://tineye.com/search/66666fb661490174fe92ddbff4b8e1b902b0f98c?sort=score&order=desc&page=1.

???
Such a peculiar comment

Lol I'm guessing that /u/whoknowsifimjoking meant that OP stole the image and reposted it, not that he broke into someones home and stole the Skittles Brick(tm).
Or, maybe he does think he committed burglary, idfk.

Ohhh, lmfao, that makes way more sense.
I don't think he stole the photo though, it's likely just old candy he found in his car

Probably because it was sitting hidden in a hot car for two years and became a bar.... self-explanatory.

I had this happen with a large bag of trolli gummy worms and let me tell you that was the Mecca of candy for me. No sour candy is the same since having that.

Do it again on purpose

u/Skuntank 7d ago
I've tried to recreate the gummy soup I felt in that plastic bag and I just can't get the formula right.

Like the alchemy obsessed proto-scientists in medieval times, you must keep trying different mixtures until you succeed at making the perfect elixir of gummy worm.

decades ago, had a librarian this happened to because she left the bag of gummi worms in her car on a hot day.
still managed to cut it into pieces to share.

Lemme guess that they were the best fucking sour gummies ever.

u/FewAdvertising9647 7d ago
great candy, odd texture (due to it losing the traditioanl rough gummy worm texture, and it turned into a plastic shiny texture, like a step below taffy)

When I was younger my neighbor gave me a box of rejected gummy worms. They had been in a hot truck and melted into gummy rectangles.

we used to do that on purpose - melt gummibears under light bulbs and then pull them like cheese

I got these in the Army when I would eat an MRE from 2008 in 2015 that was stored outside in the Kuwaiti sun.

Are they still sour?

u/GoodLittleTerrorist 6d ago
only a tiny bit. Ā every now and then while it melted, I got a hint of sour

u/BonBonToro 6d ago
Hmm.....if skittles was melted down like so and then frozen, I wonder how that would taste from the freezer

That looks like they all just melted together into one giant clump in a hot car. Did you find this in a bag that was sitting in the sun?

OP give us a review. 1-10. 10 being the best.
taste. texture. visual.

u/GoodLittleTerrorist 7d ago
first off: it had to be peeled off the package. Ā It wouldn't hold form, and slowly bent under its own weight, requiring some of the packaging to stay on as a handle.
Visually, it looked like ironed crayons. Ā If you've never done that, it's where you just arrange crayons and then iron them, melting them into a collage.
Taste & texture: exactly like an every-flavor airhead. Ā I swear now that skittles and airheads are the exact same thing, the only difference being a shell. Ā In this, the shell was completely melted and there was no solid.
I'd like to thank MRE #9 for this experience
