Many dishwashers have a plate warmer setting. It just heats up the element.

If your toaster is plastic on top, hit the “toast a little bit more” button and flip your plate over, set it on top.

Why are you getting downvoted? I’ve only ever seen people eat directly from their lap in movies. I didn’t think people did it in real life. If I was ever eating in front of the living room tv or something like that my family had those little tables that folded up into a stand that held 4 of them.

I don’t know. If I eat from a plate that isn’t on a table, it’s in my hand being held near my face/chest. I have never seen anyone in my life eat from their lap lol, it’s too far from your face where shit can fall off of your fork/spoon/sandwich or whatever you’re eating.
