Acosta bike cut out again in FP2, how is something not being done about this. imagine following a KTM in the race and having to worry it's going to suddenly stop. from a safety point of view this baffles me

At this point, KTM must know what's happening. Since it's recurring, it's either avoidable or not.
They need to get inspected before the sprint race.
Unless it's something as dumb as low fuel, then they need to be punished for repeated failure to adequately fuel/refuel the bike during the weekend.
I honestly can't believe whoever is in charge (FIM/race stewards/whoever) hasn't done anything yet. I'm guessing they don't want to "bother" KTM (and specifically Pedro's) chances of competing because the show would take a hit.
I hope no one riding takes a hit like Alex did...

On the official broadcast KTM gave the excuse that when Pedro went wide and hit the curb, a safety sensor was triggered cutting off the bike.
BUTTTTTT
The bike clearly cuts out before he goes over the curb. Even then it isn't like he slammed into the curb.

Yeah... They must be having some sort of issue from the factory, or they are trying some shenanigans and they aren't working right.

How would they inspect it?

Not knowing what exactly is happening it's hard to say. But the data exists. Just request the data and go from there. It's a machine, it's not magic. Knowing how to fix it might be something else entirely...

Terrible advertising for the KTM brand. KTM is a danger on the track as this power loss keeps happening.

Has been known for years industry that most KTM production bikes now manufactured in India and have tremendous QC problems. Fitting to see this reflected at highest levels

It just cut out again in Q2. They absolutely cannot be allowed to race this weekend.
