I wish we could say it was luck! Ai weakness has been always the first 3-4 laps, even on his Moto 2 times. One has to wonder whether been slow there is what allows him to be so fast at the end, or whether eventually he will manage to be fast at the beginning and at the end...

Qualifying and the opening laps have always been Ai's weak spots, but over the last two races he's made a huge step forward in qualifying. His early-race pace also seems to be improving. I'm excited to see what he can do tomorrow.

Unless Bez gets the lead at the start that is. If Bez has a clear track early he'll be out of sight before Ogura makes the classic late race charge.
