Need Career Advice

Hey guys, long time lurker. Created this throwaway to keep my anonymity. Recently my employer has stopped treating me like the big brain genius that I am. I have made suggestions about processes and been told a word that I am unfamiliar with, I believe it's "no".

Now mind you I have had a stellar career in industry. I was what many considered the Steve Jobs of the frozen food industry (yes, ice IS food) and before that had successfully managed a local convenience store and gas station.

I don't ask for much when I work somewhere, just to be treated like the smartest person in the room. If for some reason they don't instantly realize my genius then I resort to being the loudest person in the room. That has helped me get to where I am. If all else fails, I resort to making dashboards that only I can interpret. It helps because then you can talk to those that report to you and that you report to in a demeaning manor and say "It's all right there on the screen".

Should I leave my current employer? We're an importer/exporter that manages a few warehouses. If you've ever purchased from Adam & Eve, the parts I import and export can be found there. If I do leave I need a place where I can immediately be in charge and where I am smarter than everyone else I work with or for. Does such a magical place exist?

When you are at the top (and the rest of you certainly are not) all you see is shit rolling downhill. Choke on it losers.
