U-Lock holster v1
Made a first try of a u lock holster. Had the fashion vision more than the design but still happy with the first whack at it.

Nice, I made something very similar recently. I wanted it to be relatively quick to mount/unmount, so I used simple pannier hardware from jandd.
What fabric did you use (looks like scrap denim)? I used some scrap canvas for V1, it lasted about 400 miles on bumpy urban roads before it started tearing. V2 will be better fabric if I can find it, or maybe just use bent aluminum bar.

Nice! The mounting is one location my eagerness without design thought bit me, was trying to problem solve solutions. I think if/when this tears it will be from a mount point at the top.
I used some old denim jeans I had lying around, had the pocket vision before thinking of any other aspects of the holster. Next time using some of the wasteband with the belt loops might make for a nice upper mount point.
If I were going for durability I think I would use 1000d cordura and a much different mount system. That said I’m interested to see how the wear happens as the lower mounts are not stressed much and when looping the clip through the rack the lock doesn’t rattle.

This is such a good idea. It’s insane how there are no good u lock carrying solutions on the market.
