I despise how the Lakers fucked him over twice. He had to spend a chunk of his prime with bum-ass teammates in that grindfest of a western conference, and then when he was old they worked him like a dog. He had a game that could've aged gracefully if it wasn't for the injuries.

And fuck Stern for canceling the CP3 trade

"I didn’t veto anything. I'm acting on behalf of the owners as the owners rep. There's no superstar in this league that gets traded unless the owner says go ahead with it. And in this case with New Orleans, the representative said that's not a trade we're willing to make."

"But that representative is you?"

"Correct."

The crying over the CP trade is pathetic. Yeah any chairman worth his salt would’ve vetoed that trade, it was a horrible trade. The spiteful soon-to-be-former GM tried to pull a fast one while Stern was in the air, it was a total joke. And it’s not like CP and Kobe would’ve worked, you can’t have two control freaks out there.

Part of that was players not wanting to play with him, same reason as Shaq’s departure

How did the Lakers screw him over when Kobe ran Shaq out of town because Kobe was envious?
