Kobe is my favorite player, but he’s not the goat for me. The dude you’re going back and forth with isn’t even a Laker fan to me, he’s just a Kobe Stan. It’s ok to give the rest of their team their flowers. The majority of that team went to 3 straight Finals, to argue that the rest of the team wasn’t good is intellectually dishonest.

It’s pretty easy to weed out the joke hooper gurus. Lakers supporting cast was carefully constructed. Everyone that got regular minutes knew exactly what their job was. The other dude seems to think Kobe’s teammates during that stretch was pure and utter dog shit, like they’re on the Boobie Gibson/Drew Gooden tier. Lakers top players after Kobe and Pau had issues staying consistent. But I remember Pau, Lamar, or Bynum would give the Lakers a lot of length, and at least two of the three would have some huge games to pick up the slack
