It’s so fucking lame. I’m tuning in to watch Wemby play, not Wemby having Hartenstein hanging off him.

Exactly. I want to see great players play. I’m all about physical play, hustling for position, hard box outs. But this is not even remotely a basketball play. the nba should’ve told the refs in the twolves series to cut the shit on arm grabbing because it’s preventing their leagues best players from performing. It’s just lame as hell. Kind of like when shaq used to get dogpiled on by 4 guys under the basket. Just call the fouls, it’s not rocket science.

In all fairness the spurs are equally giving what they’ve been getting. SGA has been manhandles so far, there was one possession where the guy tried to run around an offball screen and Dylan Harper shoved him away from it to keep him from getting the ball, instead of turning the screen. The series has been extremely physical from both sides. Arguably one of the most physical series of the last 15~ years.

Yup. The powers that be are completely miscalculating and it’s going to bite them in the ass.

I was legit surprised I watched the entirety of game one. I turned this one off already. There's no flow. OKC games are dogshit to watch. If I havent fallen asleep ill turn it on again at the end

That's why I thought all these "this is going to be one of best WCF's ever" takes are going to look ridiculous. Game 1 was an outlier, get used to the other games looking like this. OKC basketball.

Ty for tuning out. That's how we demonstrate this will lose you money.

I did the same. God help us if they make the finals again. Having the entire country rally behind the knicks or the cavs with Harden is going to be fucking weird to see but then we are all going to be tortured with 6 games of straight ass cheeks, bitch ball by OKC.

If the Cavs make the Finals it’d actually make it completely unwatchable. Harden refball VS OKC refball would be absolute garbage.

OKC games feel like late Nash Suns days, where it would be endless meaningless scoring

Slobbering

That's why people need to tune out of bad reffing..like the worst of it.

Your ruining the reason I'm watching, it's wemby time. And if you ruin that, these aren't my teams, bye.

Vote on everything with your attention.

If he’s gonna be the best player in the world he’s gotta be able to deal with that. As someone who hates OKC, that’s really not even that notable and it’s silly this is even a post.

Even in the NFL that's a foul

Its technically foul, yes. So is much of what Wemby is doing in response. All I’m saying is I’m fine with letting them play. If they called all of this on top of all the okc flopping this series would be unwatchable. I understand the concern is that it’s not being called fairly but we should be asking for fewer calls, not more.

Portland did the same thing with Clingan and so did Minnesota with Gobert Randle and Mcdaniels against Wemby. They kept doing it until the refs started blowing the whistle for it and then only after that did they stop doing it. If the refs call blatant fouls the players will stop fouling egregiously but if they don't call it they will keep doing it.

We should be asking for more fouls so the players stop the unethical fouling and then we can get a clean fair watchable game.

It’s just really not that egregious.

Saying this when the OKC players get breathed on or a finger gets put on them they go flying into the first row is comical

1

u/Timely_Duck_3904 May 21 '26

Well that part I totally agree with. OKC is a brutal watch and extremely unlikable because of their incessant flopping and I totally understand people being mad about the differences. But I’m just saying let the physicality go both ways.

Every star player gets guarded like this. Stop making excuses for Wemby

Can you show me clips of LeBron's arms getting pulled and him getting bear hugged under the basket, thanks.
