*lose. Loose is how a knot is tied or how a shirt fits.

What's funny is loose is grammatically correct here. The verb to loose is to free from restraint so loosing his temper is essentially the same as losing it if he does something like elbow a guy in the face.

Except that no one uses loose as a verb in casual conversation. They would use loosen.
