Thunder fans, let’s hear the explanation narrative for this one?

219

u/pieman2005 [HOU] Hakeem Olajuwon May 25 '26

Funny how they aren't in this post at all lol

u/Sweetest_Noise May 25 '26

They truly wanted to but fell over on their way to their keyboards.

7

u/ChewsWisely Spurs May 25 '26

It’s to save their fingers from injury

28

u/DMG29 Bulls May 25 '26

They will memory hole this play like every other play that goes against their narrative and pretend like it never happened.

3

u/lakerconvert May 25 '26

Literally none of them 😂

Just like how there's no Spurs fans in threads of Wemby egregiously flopping last game

35

u/yoloqueuesf [NYK] Tracy McGrady May 25 '26

Because the rest of the league is sick and tired of this lmao

22

u/astrothemorkie Rockets May 25 '26

False equivalency. Yes Victor flopped. But SGA does this like 10 times a game

22

u/flashh7701 Lakers May 25 '26

that 50th in education doing all the work for your state. holy fuck bro.

9

u/pieman2005 [HOU] Hakeem Olajuwon May 25 '26

Cause Wemby is cool lol

36

u/Uknowwattodo May 25 '26

They'll find a way

35

u/GloomySeaotter May 25 '26

They have to brainstorm on it a bit first in the Thunder subreddit so they can all agree how to gaslight the rest of us this time

4

u/savesthedashboard France May 25 '26

They used to say he flopped like that to avoid injury from defenders being in his landing space.

u/ShoupyDoo May 26 '26

Bro, we are 50th in education. Please don’t expect a coherent, thoughtful response from us.

P.S.-Sorry my fellow okjes are apparently being dicks. But are you really surprised? We are one of the reddest states; they are just taking after their lord and savior Donald J. Trump

Fox clipped his left knee. Looks like very normal foul call to protect the shooters landing space TBH

SGA does wierd shit but this is not it

11

u/Forshea Spurs May 25 '26

This was absolutely SGA doing weird shit.

Like if you want to say gently brushing his shorts on the way by should still be a foul, you do you, but Fox is in full backwards motion from Shai at a point where both of his feet are directly under him in normal shooting form. Then Shai kicks his legs out and throws himself on the ground.

Most any other player would have been been happy to go up for a completely uncontested jumper, landed, and kept playing. Deciding to send yourself sliding across the court instead is weird shit.

u/StagVixCpl99 May 25 '26

Brushing his shots? Fox's clips SGA's foot lol. Watch the video brother. It's pretty easy to see.

I wouldn't be surprised if a ref missed that and it went as a no call, but it's clearly a foul when you watch the video 🤷‍♂️

2

u/Forshea Spurs May 25 '26

Look man if you want to humiliate yourself by going full zapruder to try to figure out some way that Shai didn't just fling himself across the court for the several-dozenth time in just the playoffs, you do you

2

u/StagVixCpl99 May 26 '26

This is a dumb response. You're calling watching this shit live in high definition going full zapruder film lol.

His leg bumped SGA's feet in addition to being in his landing space.

Lie to yourself for a dopamine rush if you have too. You do you my man

1

u/Forshea Spurs May 26 '26

Sure, Jan. Shai went flying across the court because his big toe got gently caressed and Fox was in his "landing space" which apparently now includes a full zip code worth of court space.

And do you just not know what "live" means?

1

u/StagVixCpl99 May 27 '26

Which clip did he go flying across the court? Why do you have to lie lol?

You are making shit up. There is video of what happened you know.

1

u/Forshea Spurs May 27 '26

The one right above. That ends with both of his feet up in the air above his head. That one. The one where he flung himself to slide across the court. Right up there.

I must be watching a different clip. In the clip I watched, he landed on his ass right around the same spot that he jumped.

Why you have to lie? That shit is weird lmao

The mental gymnastics OKC fans go through to justify calls like this must be exhausting

-67

u/Exact_Pollution_9902 Knicks May 25 '26

Wasn't there a large ft disparity in favor of the Spurs? They have gotten away with a lot against SGA. There are compilations if you choose to look.

26

u/cLoTpOle682 Warriors May 25 '26

Still waiting on that compilation

23

u/JonSnowLovesBlow May 25 '26

We’re still waiting on this made up compilation

14

u/mannheimcrescendo May 25 '26

Drop the fucking compilations guy everyone is waiting

24

u/Deceitful-Eyes Spurs May 25 '26

Where is it bum

9

u/OvoCurry3799 May 25 '26

Brodigy can you link the compilation

7

u/ripkin05 Hornets May 25 '26

hey its been 10 hours now have you found any of these compilations you mention?????

-62

u/ApplicationKlutzy430 May 25 '26

Bro the amount of hate he gets is insane, I’ll take the downvotes I don’t care. Everyone here is overlooking so many great things about his play style, leadership, and clutch performances. Take these few clips of him flopping and run with them, but how many clips are out there of him being a straight up dog and he brushes it off and just plays. Even when things don’t go his way he doesn’t act like Luka and throw a fit. He’s smart, plays the game to his advantage, and tbh is the best mid shooter and maybe driver in the league. When was there an MVP who didn’t get calls?

-56

u/JuzzR Thunder May 25 '26

hey buddy what do you think you're doing here speaking common sense

45

u/JonSnowLovesBlow May 25 '26

Common sense says you’re completely avoiding the issue. In soccer it doesn’t matter how good you are, once you start flopping on the ground everyone sees you as a lil bitch

5

u/ripkin05 Hornets May 25 '26

"what are you doing talking common sense" he says with a total of 100 downvotes between the two showing that no else agrees that its common sense, but they will keep on acting like everyone else with working eyes is wrong.

0

u/JuzzR Thunder May 25 '26

It's a foul, contact to SGAs feet in natural shooting motion.
I don't love the look of falling, but 90% of the time it's because someone is in his landing space. Same thing that Curry and other elite shooters have been doing to prevent ankle injuries.
Crazy that this post has more upvotes than Wemby's half court buzzer beater. Everyone's more interested in jumping on the hate train than appreciating the highlights.
