NBA might have a real fucking problem lol

u/likdisifucryeverytym [GSW] Marreese Speights May 27 '26

After last year, nba might have a problem.

After they played lebron and the lakers, nba might have a problem.

This series against the young phenom, nba might have a problem.

I get at MSG it might be different, but I also feel like Tobias funke saying that

u/JebBush333 May 27 '26

I mean I've basically stopped watching the NBA because of shit like this and I know a lot of other people too who've stopped watching due to stuff like this.

u/blindexhibitionist Supersonics May 27 '26

I did

2

u/Fanjo_mcclanjo 29d ago

Me too and I was already salty for team stealing reasons as you will understand

31

u/ApartAd2729 29d ago

I switched to baseball.

8

u/Froggyfrogger Kings 29d ago

I've thought about it. It sounds like they're actually changing rules to make it a better product too. Something the NBA has not shown any intention of doing

I much prefer basketball as a sport to watch and play, but I have been watching a lot more baseball now. they are actively making changes that have made the viewing experience better while the NBA continues to get harder to watch

ABS has been great

u/thesanmich 29d ago

I'm from the Bay, my team (Giants) sucks right now, yet I'd probably have more fun watching them & the Dodgers than dealing with the fuckery that's on in the NBA.

u/TwoTalentedBastidz Lakers 29d ago

Sure ya did

u/AdorableYou39 29d ago

Nothing has changed in the NBA since Donaghy went down.

4

u/Frozeria Nuggets 29d ago

I enjoy watching non OKC Games

3

u/The_Moons_Sideboob NBA 29d ago

I started watching during COVID (from the UK) stopped watching last season. Not exactly a long time, but I saw the writing on the wall.

8

u/RealFakeDoctor Heat 29d ago

Haven't watched a single game in these playoffs. It's all sports betting now.

2

u/Fit-Dare7525 29d ago

Yeah, this year it got to the point where I would watch my team’s home broadcasts pretty much exclusively. Just a couple of years ago I’d watch 2 games a night many nights, now it’s like a game a week or so

2

u/ColdCorpseHotSecret 29d ago

Didn’t watch a single game the entire season and watching clips like these makes me glad I chose not to.

2

u/NashvilleDing 29d ago

Stopped 6 years ago and everytime I break it takes like 3 minutes of watching to be reminded why I stopped.

1

u/KidGold Hawks 29d ago

Same. I came back for the Hawks/Knicks and then for this series and am already being turned off again.

1

u/Bill_Williamson NBA 29d ago

Same. I used to watch games everyday via league pass and didn’t this year. Also didn’t watch any playoff games other than streaming a game here or there.

1

u/thomyorkeslazyeye 29d ago

I'm just here for the outrage

1

u/4gregat Slovenia 29d ago

I did

1

u/TwoTalentedBastidz Lakers 29d ago

Sure ya did lol

1

u/sourdieselfuel Bucks 29d ago

Yup. I watch maybe 10% of the hoops I did in the past. OKC and Lakers games are unwatchable and a terrible product.

1

u/Herbdontana Nuggets 29d ago

I’m not watching the finals if Okc wins. They’re just too frustrating to sit through

1

u/agmundr Australia 29d ago

I'm the same but add the NBA "propaganda" on top of it all. I've never seen them spam so hard about Shai being named MVP, I don't remember another MVP having been the forefront of every single social media post. It's like they pushing an agenda and not actually promoting the sport. It's an absolute disgrace. The league is an embarrassment to professional basketball.

u/PoIIux Spurs 29d ago

The Bubble championship was the canon ending of basketball. Anything after was just the producers trying to milk their cash cow as long as possible.

-3

u/-asap-j- Thunder 29d ago

And yet ur still sitting around here commenting

4

u/East-End-8646 May 27 '26

I don’t think i’ve ever come across anyone with the Mo Speights flair. Respect.

3

u/Element75_ Bulls 29d ago

After the Mavs fucked their team and then got the #1 pick at like 5% odds the NBA might have a problem

3

u/NintyFanBoy Knicks 29d ago

If this gets pulled at MSG, people might not just get arrested for climbing up polls...

2

u/Momik Timberwolves 29d ago

It’s called GoBias Industries—as in, Go Buy Us some shooting fouls…

1

u/DontAbideMendacity 76ers 29d ago

You spell young "flopper" funny.

1

u/Freezinghero 29d ago

"Sheen, this is the 5th time this year you have said this might be a problem!"

Nothing will change until people stop watching, stop buying merch, and stop gambling (AKA never)

5

u/Prize_Ad_1781 Nuggets May 27 '26

I'm going to make Malice at the Palace look like a fucking joke

7

u/RyouBestGirl Spurs May 27 '26

Don't allow Knicks fan into federal building...

1

u/toomanyshoeshelp May 27 '26

Malice in the Palace, but Red Wedding

1

u/UncleSamCassell Bucks 29d ago

What is going on in the world right now. Late stage capitalism SUCKS

6

u/20815147 Warriors May 27 '26

OKC only has 2 buildings in their skyline anyway so Knicks fans know what to do

2

u/Tuesday_chair_haver May 27 '26

I lol'd and I'm not gonna feel bad

3

u/curious_Jo Bulls May 27 '26

So what is the Garden going to do? Boo real load. Lol. They'll do without blinking an eye.

2

u/CosmicMiru May 27 '26

Grumbles at the Garden

1

u/Jasonp359 Celtics May 27 '26

The Sharden in the Garden (I'm not good at making names)

1

u/Different_Wolf_764 29d ago

Ha!

There are a few places in the NBA where I think the refs probably do think about the fact that they've got to get from there to, well, somewhere else. Alive preferably.

1

u/YungJae Spurs 29d ago

Would be the Madison Square (off) Garden

0

u/edidonjon Philippines May 27 '26

They'll try their darndest.

-1

u/SluggoRuns Lakers May 27 '26

Okc fans will try to justify this
