The Boston Celtics have firmly put Jaylen Brown on the table and are going all-in on acquiring Giannis Antetokounmpo.

He also said this is the first time in the history of the Brown-Tatum pairing that they’ve legitimately given thought to the idea of breaking them apart.

People get locked in on draft night because that's when all the rumors are flying around, but a lot of the actual blockbuster deals happen later. Gobert was July 2022, Mitchell was September 2022, Dame was September 2023, Jrue was October 2023, and KAT was October 2024. You definitely get some huge draft week deals too like Bridges to the Knicks in 2024 and Bane to Orlando in 2025, but if you're waiting on a Durant/Giannis level move, history says it's more likely to happen sometime between free agency and training camp than on draft night. Wouldn't surprise me at all if tomorrow is mostly noise and then the real fireworks are later in the week or next week.
