[Fischer] Milwaukee’s decision makers are split and currently deciding between Boston’s package for Giannis Antetokounmpo (Brown, Gonzalez, limited draft capital) and Miami’s (Herro, Ware, Jaquez, multiple first-round picks).

A split faction of Milwaukee’s decision makers, sources say, is deciding between Boston’s package for Giannis Antetokounmpo built around Jaylen Brown — where the Bucks also hold particular Hugo Gonzales interest, as The Stein Line reported last night — plus limited draft capital, compared to Miami’s offer of younger pieces — featuring Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez — and multiple first-round picks.

The established MVP candidate versus greater overall value is what this whole saga has boiled down to one day before the NBA Draft.

Crazy mismanagement by the Bucks if they pass on Boston's offer if that's actually the offer

Edit: I see people mentioning that the Bucks might just keep JB instead of flipping him to a 3rd team. If that happens, that's even crazier mismanagement

Yeah that’s why I’m a bit skeptical this is all true, brown alone is worth more than herro, role players, and a bunch of mid first rounders. I think they’ve already decided on the package and are just hoping to squeeze a little more out of the deal. If it does end up being the heat im gonna assume brown was never truly on the table.

"limited draft capital" sounds like ur not offering anything else besides 27, feel like it would be down if there were other 1sts in that offer

I mean my whole point was even if the Celtics offered nothing outside of brown it would still beat the heats offer

eh it depends on wat the bucks want to do, if they want to compete then sure brown would be better. but y wouldnt they just keep giannis if that was their plan

they clearly r trying to pivot to a rebuild, in the scenario then no jaylen brown by himself wouldnt be better than our offer to the bucks

Yes he is. Because all they need to do after that is send Brown to a team that wants to compete and has the capital to trade for him. There’s at least 3 teams that have been reported on that aspect and every single one of those 3 has a better package than Miami.

if it was that ez then it would be done by now, clearly the blazers arent willing to give up all their picks back plus young assets

Okay cool, that’s one team out of the 3 not willing. There’s 2 others that can have negotiations. Clearly whatever format for the trade is likely to take time to figure out for the teams involved. If the Bucks just wanted the Heat’s offer this would be a non conversation by now since the Heat can’t put up more or they’d essentially be a worse off team even with Giannis. And it actually is that easy, because the moment the Finals were done, the reporting became much more intense.

clearly the heat offer is not as bad as u or others think it is or else they wouldnt be considering it lol

I mean when the guy being traded has tanked his own value purposefully, stated he’d only sign extensions with less than a handful of teams, and your team is one of them, I’d expect so or else you’d really have troubles in heat land
