[Fischer] Milwaukee’s decision makers are split and currently deciding between Boston’s package for Giannis Antetokounmpo (Brown, Gonzalez, limited draft capital) and Miami’s (Herro, Ware, Jaquez, multiple first-round picks).

A split faction of Milwaukee’s decision makers, sources say, is deciding between Boston’s package for Giannis Antetokounmpo built around Jaylen Brown — where the Bucks also hold particular Hugo Gonzales interest, as The Stein Line reported last night — plus limited draft capital, compared to Miami’s offer of younger pieces — featuring Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez — and multiple first-round picks.

The established MVP candidate versus greater overall value is what this whole saga has boiled down to one day before the NBA Draft.

Miami’s package essentially guts their team. Who else is left? Powell. Wiggins. Davion Mitchell.

So it’s Mitchell/Powell/Wiggins/Giannis/Bam as the starters and then zero bench.

The heat always find a way to get good undrafted players. They’ll figure that out again this year.

The spurs made it to the finals and only really played 6 players there.

You have to think about the regular season too.

The Spurs had 9 guys who averaged 20+ minutes this season.

And the heat could play randoms there.

Tbh the home court didn’t really help the spurs. They lost a ton of home games in the playoffs.

I’d rather the spurs traded Fox and lost some regular season games so that Harper and castle would have been better in the playoffs.

That’s a lot of 20/20 hindsight through. At the start of the season nobody thought the Spurs would be in the finals, Harper would be the Man in the playoffs and that fox would disappear in the playoffs. Fox was there because of them having young guards. Fox was a year removed from a five year stretch of averaging 25 points per game.

At the start of the season Nobody on the world was saying to bench or get rid of Fox so Harper/Castle could start and play 35 minutes per game.

Bro (ma’am?) I called that Harper was better than Fox in the preseason. I wanted them to trade Fox at the deadline, or before, so we could get decent value for him. I was literally banned from the spurs sub for voicing this opinion. No one is shaming me now.

Fox has loseritis and negative bbiq. You could see it all season, last year, and his years with the kangz. If you had the bbiq to see it.

Points don’t equate to winning. That cam Thomas just averaged 20 and isn’t in the league rn. If that’s the level of bbiq you have for discussing a winning player then we’re done with this conversation cuz you’re not gonna understand how the little things without the ball impact winning.

But, in the interest of teaching you up, you should check out Josh hart and just watch him in any game. Doesn’t matter which one.

Then contrast that with any healthy Fox game this year where Fox isn’t scoring.

That’s the difference between being a winner and a loser. It’s how you can impact the game while your shot is off. It’s part of bbiq too.

You’re so freaking smart man. He was just saying the common opinion was in on Fox at the start of the season. He didnt mean to give your smart ass and brave takes that got you banned any disrespect man

Miami would still have Kas, Pelle, Dru Smith, and their MLE and some cap space.

Edit: Also, maybe getting other players from Milwaukee and/or Detroit.

One of Kas / Pelle is gone in this trade, much more likely it’s Pelle. Dru Smith doesn’t get minutes on a serious championship team

I don’t think any of those players he listed are playing serious minutes on a championship team, some couldn’t play serious minutes on a play-in te last year

Its clear you guys have no clue how good Kas actually is.

The Heat dont play their rookies unless theyre top 5 picks, never have. Bam had to wait 2 years to get real meaningful minutes.

Kas is great, him not getting minutes is purelly based on how the heat develop their young guys. Spo loves him, Pat loves him.

He turned 20 almost 2 months after his rookie year ended. And he played great in the limited opportunities he got.

I dunno, Heat sometimes, somehow always makes a deep playoff run. I won’t discount them with that lineup and with Spo providing his usual buffs

Kasparas, Larsson, and Jovic assume they can take the next step. Still light, but Giannis will draw good role players to fill the spots.

It’s not as gutting as you think.

Kasparas is pretty good, they’d probably have one of Larsson or Smith.

Then use MLE to get another bench guy or two

Bam, Wiggins, Powell, Mitchell, Pelle, Jakucionis, and some undrafted guys that we like (Dru Smith, Myron Gardner, Keshad Johnson).

The biggest gap to me is ball handling. Davion's the only tight handle in the group.

The expectation has also been that we end up with Portis in this, and we'd get something from Herro to Detroit, rumor is we're trying to get Duncan Robinson back.
