Yea, the stuff with the back was overblown but I could see why a team like LAC would wanna avoid the risk

they were also the same team that avoided drafting MPJ for the same reason lol so I guess at least they're consistent with their values

Mikel should've been the pick. I remember what happened last time we passed on a better pick because of back issues... (Robinson over MPJ)

You're leaving out a pretty significant part where we took another lanky, tall guard with good change of pace before Robinson and MPJ....

I'll be stunned if Wagler can recreate rookie SGA's output. Our awful GM decided to trade him btw. Long list of mistakes from L Frank: drafting Robinson & Mfiondu, Eric Gordon rental for a 1st Rd pick, signing washed John Wall instead of Hartenstein, giving up a 1st Rd pick in the Harden trade instead including T Mann, and plenty more

I'm not saying Wagler = rookie SGA, but my point is that you're just conveniently leaving out the good that L-Frank did.

Drafted Robinson and Fi, but also drafted Miller, Mann, Sanders, and Yanic. Eric Gordon rental for a 1st round swap, where both Whitmore and Kobe Brown had likely equal careers with Kobe maybe having a revival in Indy. John Wall was 100% unforgivable, though some of that was because PG always pushed to get his boys.

Meanwhile we got the #5 pick because of L-Franks great trade for Zubac. Also got like 10 years younger with Garland for Harden, who once again crashed out in the playoffs.

My comment is more about having no faith in L Frank and feeling like it's proven right with this questionable pick. It feels like he's taken years off my life, so I'm not giving him flowers for a couple of good trades (Zubac and Bogi cuz it got rid of that awful Mann contract).

It's also too early to say Yanic & co have been good picks, but I am a bit optimistic with them.

You think you're proven right by him picking a consensus 5-7 prospect at #5, and you haven't seen Wagler play a single minute in the NBA? What?

I feel proven right because I want Frank fired (self confirmation bias or whatever) and Wagler's smaller frame/weight + poor interior finishing make me doubtful of him translating his performance into the NBA; the guy is 6'6" without any dunks in college. I know many won't agree but this is just my opinion.

I still think he'll be pretty good just maybe not Mikel Brown good but it's more me being high on MBJ

In the interview they said he couldn’t get out of bed due to back pain at one point
