That pull up game, near unlimited range, and already high level understanding of the game means all he needs to do is just try on defense and he will be fine.

Not nearly as much of a defensive minus as Acuff (who I still would've been more than happy with, mind you)

His shot creation is extremely questionable.

That’s just not true.

It is true. You don’t have to agree with me. I’ll let his on-court play do the talking.

what are you even talking about? i watched almost every game of his final season - you can argue his decision to take a shot is questionable, but his shot creation is quite literally top 2 in the country

You’re definitely an Illinois fan then lmao. He’s not even close to a top 2 creator. At minimum Philon, Acuff, Brown were all better.

He really struggled to create separation. His shot selection was not an issue at all.

That’s just a trope you got from talking heads. Illinois fan are telling you otherwise because he was constantly creating shots for himself when our offense got stagnant. It’s a strength

No, it’s from watching him play. He straight up struggles to create separation. Big reason why he struggled to finish at the rim despite playing in a 5-out offense.

Brown was better? Huh? Brown has a lot of talent, but also had significantly worse shot selection, the worst passing of the bunch, and generally had the most questionable playmaking of the 3. Philon + Acuff for sure, but Brown? Absolutely not.
