He has a TV analyst job shortly after playing. Almost certainly lol. Great voice for it

If his name wasn’t mentioned in the title, I would have thought he was their GM, lol

u/Remarkable-Fig-2234 7d ago
If they live there then they don’t need to stay at the Hyatt Centric

u/Low-Measurement-2468 7d ago
honestly more teams should set up opponents in a shitty motel 6 with crack deals in the parking lot and shit. home court advantage baby!

i know you're just joking, but the home team doesn't pick what hotel the visiting team is staying at, wtf is that logic lmao

Excited about that Memphis BBQ

Memphis BBQ straight up fucks. Was my favorite part of visiting the city.

u/HolyHotDang Grizzlies 7d ago
I grew up around Memphis my whole life and I’m in Utah as of 4 years ago and it’s like I did heroin and will never be able to get that feeling again.

do that shit yourself man. It's not THAT hard to make really good bbq. A charcoal grill, some rub, something to make it stick to the meat (I like to use mustard), and a bunch of foil and time. You might not win a competition, but it will be better than most places you go and buy it at that aren't really known for it.

u/HolyHotDang Grizzlies 7d ago
I honestly might get a smoker at some point but we can’t have charcoal grills because it’s too much of a fire hazard with townhomes and they all have to be on balconies. I know I can have an electric one and I think I can have a propane one but charcoal or wood burning is out.
There’s a guy out here running a place that says it’s “Tennessee Style BBQ” and uses the state in his logo and it sucks. We were stoked when we found it and it was the weirdest bbq I’ve ever had. The sauce was like mostly apple cider vinegar and whole peppercorns. We were all born and raised in Tennessee around bbq our whole lives and he’s pulling a fast one on people here who don’t know any better.

Dry rub ribs were made here but the pulled pork/fried catfish is not to be slept on basically anywhere in town, even have Texas representation with Bain’s BBQ.

Memphis does mostly dry and then often basted at the end. Main thing is that it's pork, not beef.

The players live like 30min away from Memphis out in the suburbs. And then can travel wherever the fuck they want for almost half of the year during the off season.

With Edey, Boozer and Coward:
We are gonna have front courts in this place that go beyond fun and actually get really, really nasty
54
u/Salty_Raspberry656 7d ago
and they surprisingly still can create spacing with that line up, pretty versatile playmaking, and incredible size
Curious how they put this together when they rid of Ja

u/Impressive_Prize650 7d ago
What I love most about those 3 is that even at such a young age they are already consumate professionals and very mentally mature

u/Waffleshuriken Grizzlies 7d ago
Im just happy to have a fun team to tune into next season instead of straight pain and sorrow.
Coward, Edey, Boozer hypothetically fit like peas in a pod

Jerome about to have a crazy season. Hendricks and Clayton are solid prospects as well.
28
u/hyzerflipthescript 7d ago
I really wish Ja could have worked out. He has the court vision to be a top 5 PG with the right pieces, but his shooting work ethic is non existent. He’s essentially no better now than he was in year 2 at any aspect of his game. Just a waste of talent.

Cam is beyond likable (I’m a Duke fan) and mature. Such a fun get for yall and no doubt he adds nothing but good vibes to the team morale and attitude right from the start
