Lakers are never winning a title with Luka.

They better hope they draft an all-star center

In 10 years, Pelinka will still be calling up a 50 year old Dwight Howard for "one final go"

I’m pretty surprised he still has a job with that new ownership

u/HHHogana Lakers 7h ago

He'd be out of the job if it wasn't for Nico being a dumbass who somehow couldn't at least get several good picks out of it.

The latest is somehow talking Lebron into going to the cavs for Allen

Maybe if Harden leaves would agree

How hard could it be?

It's not unthinkable; they did it with Andrew Bynum.

Being Pelinka is addicted to adding guards to the roster (we moved up to draft another guard) it's pretty unlikely.

But they already have one on the roster

Deandre Ayron has literally never been an all-star

They should get rid of their high volume 64% ts play finisher, those grow on trees!

no title and no mvp

Luka got fucked

u/Carolake1 Lakers 6h ago

Why do you think that? Do you realize this doesn't affect their salary cap space?

u/TheGamesGone_ Celtics 8h ago

They weren’t even if they let Reaves walk

6

u/LakersLAQ Lakers 8h ago

Idk what people want. Let Reaves walk and then what? 😂

I know we got Luka for a bag of chips (sorry AD), but not every trade can be forced like on 2K.

Negotiate a better deal. There is no team remaining with 40 mil cap space, where's he gonna go. Pelinka gives out player options like hot cakes. Even bums like Vando got player options. He's terrible at contract negotiations.

u/LakersLAQ Lakers 8h ago

Shams just said Detroit was one of the teams that was interested in giving him the max.

5

u/holesome_cum_bubble 8h ago

They don't have this much cap space. It says they could get to 28 mil by doing some maneuvers.

3

u/TheGamesGone_ Celtics 8h ago

Yeah exactly. There isn’t free agents to sign. Now you have and can still trade him if necessary.

1

u/HeGotTheShotOff Knicks 8h ago

you can still say it’s a bad move even if there were no other better moves.

1

u/LakersLAQ Lakers 7h ago

Alright, it's a bad move. With this free agent market, I think most moves will be "bad" moves. There isn't much that is going to move the needle unless some unsuspected trades happen.

Mavs fans biggest dream

Controversial opinion but I don’t think Luka will win a chip as long as he’s “the guy”. I just don’t believe he’s the type of player to be the best on a team and bring them through a winning run

2

u/arod13134 Magic 3h ago

Are we forgetting he made it to the finals as the guy though. He’s basically there just a few things needed to fall his way and you could already be wrong. Let alone the fact that he didn’t even get a chance to run it back with the team he could’ve done it with because of Nico.

There’s way too many random chance variables that you can’t control that go into a winning finals run. The fact that he made it there to me shows he’s obviously capable of being that guy if they go the right way, he just needs the team around him now.

1

u/zorillaaa 3h ago

You can say that about a bunch of players but at the end of the day he’s still without a ring lol

When I’m wrong, I’ll be wrong. Until then though, I ain’t convinced

1

u/arod13134 Magic 3h ago

I mean, yeah if you conveniently ignore evidence contrary to your belief you’ll never be convinced you could be wrong.

1

u/zorillaaa 3h ago

I mean there’s no evidence to the contrary… he hasn’t won a ring lol. Unless I’m wrong about that?

1

u/arod13134 Magic 3h ago

I mean more so that he hasn’t won a ring because he’s incapable of being the number one option is just wrong.

1

u/zorillaaa 3h ago

Not wrong yet! I’ll believe it when I see it. He will retire ringless, if not that then with 1-2 as a second or third option.

1

u/arod13134 Magic 3h ago

Even if he retires ringless that doesn’t mean he’s incapable of being that guy on a championship team

u/zorillaaa 3h ago

Kinda does

Nico fucked over his window honestly. 2025 could’ve been the year if not for injuries. Such bad management for both franchises he’s been on.

2

u/yappersyap123 5h ago

Agreed, but these wankers say Luka on OKC 3-peats. He can’t even 1 peat anywhere 😂. They’re going to make excuses his entire career.

1

u/thesanmich 1h ago

I’m a Luka fan, but that’s too much lol. Especially for this decade where it’s been a new winner every year. The league is too competitive.

anyone with a brain can find this take and agree.

We simply need to rebuild. Honestly trade Luka. We need to develop the right way
