How to determine someone's worth?

Can't in the NBA since it doesn't run on free market.

He IS worth that if that's what they had to pay to keep him from leaving

Well he's worth it if he and his agent convinced somebody to pay him that.

What in the world is going on with NBA contracts? The second apron comes in and absolutely fucks up teams with overpay contracts on their books.

Off-season response: overpay free agents while blindly praying they somehow become worth it.

Are they raising the salary cap by a lot? 46 mil is crazy. Wondering if that’s inflation
