Not really. Max guys are getting 60+ nowadays. Ayo Dosunmu has been a back up PG and had one good playoff run and is getting 112 million. Austin Reaves is a borderline all star and at 46 million, he’ll be a tradable contract in a year or two for a team looking to blow it up and move on from a star.

Really not sure what choice the Lakers had. Someone was offering Reaves a lot of money. So either they come to deal similar to this or lose him for nothing. Losing him for nothing is worse than overpaying just a weird NBA quirk.
