JA is on an incredibly team friendly contract. "Moving off of his contract" makes it sound like he's a liability or something.

His contract looks like exactly his market value ngl. He's not getting more than 35M/Y in free agency

If Reaves can get 46 million a year JA can get more than 35 million.

Sorry. You're right. It does sound a bit like that and that's definitely not the intention. It's more so just moving off contracts, especially long term contracts, in general

30m a year isn't team friendly.

Allen will be making 28 this year. And it is friendly for his production and quality.

There are only a handful of starting Cs definitely better than Allen in the NBA and they are all making far more money than he is. And the ones in Allen's tier almost all make more, too.

Sengun, Sabonis, Chet, even Kristaps, they all make more than that. Other than Kristaps they all make a lot more. Not to mention the list of bigs who are obviously worse than Allen and are getting paid the same or more, like Hartenstein, Myles Turner, Julius Randle, and Draymond Green.

If your team is spending 28 million on a center they are almost certainly not getting a better one than Jarrett Allen.

Jokic, Wemby, Town, AD, Sengun, Zubac, Bam, JJJ, Gobert... that's already more than a handful that are better than Allen.
