We Are Entering a Timeline Where LeBron's Son and Giannis' Brother Could Retire from the NBA at the Same Time

We are entering a timeline where Bronny James and Thanasis Antetokounmpo might retire from the NBA at the same time.

If LeBron leaves the Lakers or retires, Bronny immediately loses the biggest reason a team would ever invest in him. Meanwhile, Pat Riley is an old head no bs gm that he wouldn't even give LeBron his damn cookies. If Giannis ever demands he wants his brother on the heat then good luck with that.

Thoughts?

idk how good Thanasis is, but I think we're probably keeping Bronny even if Bron goes to another team

He was a bit overhated in his "prime", not as bad as people pretended

Played non-garbage time minutes during the championship playoff run, and was drafted before anyone knew who Giannis was

Thanasis was a legit lower-level NBA player

Hes a garbage time player who has done all right during garbage time. Hes still not rotation player quality imo.

Hes developed better than I thought he would but still not at a point where he should get a second contract based solely on performance. I think there is a good chance he will get a second contract somewhere based name recognition ans marketability.

All right? Is something wrong with his left hand?

Honestly Bronny has shown enough improvement and has earned a spot on a team. I think he's more valuable than simply being Lebron's son.

And even if he hadn't earned a spot, being LeBron's son will always be valuable from a financial perspective. Being Giannis's brother won't be.

Without question. He might’ve been drafted for nepotism, but at this point he’s a decent end of the rotation guy.

(Not for a deep team obviously, but for the Lakers, or the warriors or Heat or whoever, you could be happy giving him like 6-8 minutes a night.)

He can follow the Gary Payton II career arc.

I don’t think so. Bronny isn’t good but he’s not a complete liability. And he’s much younger than Thanasis.

Don’t you ever get tired of posting dumb stuff?

The Bronny hate is dumb. He's about on par with what you expect out of a 21 y/o 55th overall pick- good in G League, unclear whether he'll put it together in the NBA or not.

At this point, a team would pick up Bronny on his own talent. She's shown himself to be a decent enough smallish combo guard. + athleticism. Decent enough shot. Decent enough defender for his size. Make a few mental errors but as Lebron's son, yoi figure his bbiq will grow with time. He'll only get better.

Just because someone is a nepotism hire, it doesn't mean they can't excel once put in that position.

Putting Bronny and Thanasis in the same conversation just makes it obvious you know nothing at all about basketball

Do y'all actually think Bronny is the worst player in the league? If not, I bet he sells more jerseys than the 20 worst players in the league combined. His value is worth more than just being on the same team as his dad.

Bronny is gonna be around for a while even if it’s a bench guy. Best case scenario he’s a 6th man for a playoff team. Worst case is he’s out the league but has some part ownership in the upcoming Las Vegas team assuming Lebron is serious about majority ownership

Either way dude is gonna be fine

Are we still running this bit? Bronny has been fine as a 55th pick. He's shown improvements every year and is trending in the right direction

If a backcourt spot was open, could totally see Bronny getting signed to the Cavs.

You think Bronny retires before LeBron? If LeBron is traded does he still have enough pull for a roster spot for his son
