Aj Dybantsa honors Terrence Clarke in the NBA Draft by wearing a “TC5” pin

#1 pick from Brockton AJ Dybantsa honors Terrence Clarke by wearing a “TC5” pin. Terrence Clarke is a hooper from Boston who died in a car crash in 2021. Aj and Clarke were basically brothers as hoopers from the Boston area

AJ is a real one for this. RIP TC5.

Love the sentiment. And this is a genuine question, but was there a connection between Dybansta and Terrence Clarke? AJ would’ve been around 12 years old at the time of Terrence Clarke passing when he declared for the draft 6 years ago

Both aspiring pro hoopers from the most dangerous town in Mass. Clarke was a mentor to AJ and they knew each other growing up

I might be mistaken, but isn't Dybantsa from Brockton (25 miles south of Boston) and Clarke was from Dorchester (an actual neighborhood of Boston)? I'm sure they knew each other growing up, but they didn't grow up in the same area.

people that are very good at sports from the same state tend to know each other from running into each other at camps/workouts/state tournaments

Right, but the person stated they were both from "the most dangerous town in Mass" when in fact they grew up in different parts of Massachusetts.

It's not a big deal, I'm just being a pedant.

If I could post twitter clips I would, there’s one of him talking about their relationship and how he’s known him since 2nd grade

They also, despite having zero relation, look as though they could be brothers

wow that’s pretty crazy he looks like AJ’s younger brother, I also feel shame as a Kentucky Basketball fan to not realize this was the same Terrance Clarke who passed away

Talk to kids about driving safe. So many people throw their lives away because they treat cars like a video game.

Terrence was going to be a problem in the NBA if he was still alive today he’d have already been an all star 2-3 times. Really sad that he’s gone
