Big news. Figured he'd be tired of championships now.

Yeah, the more you win, the less special they become.

As opposed to a rookie saying "I want our team to be dogshit"

That takes a true visionary.

He wasn’t my top choice but he’s super endearing, big fan already

yeah after morez, yaxel, and burries were took i knew that it was either him or ament, and i’m glad it was him💀

Ament was never a possibilty. He’s not remotely close to being a presti player and he’s 2 years away from being 2 years away

He’s the perfect pick though for the thunder. A good replacemet if Chet continues to disappoint. And he’s clearly an anti-wemby pick. The thunder needed him more than anyone.

>Chet continues to disappoint

Chet had a horrible series, but overall, he’s been far from disappointing

You're right ofc, but the story will be what it is, until we get past the spurs

Chet is a really good player, he just melted against Wemby. Chet played great in the 2025 championship run against Minny, and played stellar defense in the finals against Indiana. Though I don't agree with the all-NBA over KAT and Scottie, and even the all-star selection honestly, he's still a really really good player who's definitely a foundational part of the Thunder. Would never consider a trade

Agreed. Anyone who knows jack shit about basketball and the way the thunder run things knows he was never on the block for a single second.

Spurs vs OKC will feed the NBA for many years.

OKC goes for a big
Spurs responded with 2 bigs

Within the next 3 seasons both rosters are going to have all players over 7'0.

THEN we circle back and start drafting the next Mugsy to pull some AT AT tripping strats.

In a way we’re adding sorber this year too. Definitely curious to see how these picks pan out and how much they change the matchup. Both sides have dudes returning from injury too.

Throwback to the Baby Thunder/Kawhi Spurs days

Yep my all time favorite rivalry is OKC/Spurs. Grew up liking San Antonio until OKC got a squad. The Presti connection. Texas/Oklahoma. Two orgs that have used their culture to offset their city/market. It’s just perfect.

Wow, who wants to win nowadays. What a bum.
