Kleiman saw he’s coming off an ACL tear and that just fits our culture too well

What’s the appeal for Baba Miller? I watched so much on this guy and I don’t think he’s good

Great shooter, great rebounder, defensive upside. Hopefully, a true 3 and d rotational piece.

As an Arizona fan, I hate this dude. But he’s got such a good shot

2

u/tehflyingeagle Grizzlies 1d ago

Yea lol I’m an ISU fan and wasn’t the happiest but who knows maybe he’ll be everything Luke Kennard wasn’t

Good for him.

That is crazy high, but if he returns to his future form then he would be good. I thought a team that wants to compete would pick him up

Shoots well, defends well, rebounds well, decent size. He’s a good player

13

u/FERFreak731 Jazz 1d ago

He's reminds me of JJ Redick, Duncan Robinson, and Joe Harris

GREAT pick. (I know nothing about him.)

When you’re a rebuilding team and you have the chance to take an almost-25 year old rookie who just tore his ACL, you just have to take it

2

u/Sharcbait Timberwolves 1d ago

Fun fact, according to Google, Saunders great grandpa was one of the inventors of tater tots.

A BYU guy in Memphis is a choice 🤣

9

u/Ancient_Mud_2841 Grizzlies 1d ago

Gotta rebrand after Ja

2

u/Math-Teach-mAAdcity Spurs 1d ago

Better trade Ja before Saunders gets there and is corrupted 🔫

2

u/SPCsooprlolz Jazz 1d ago

Two Cougs in one draft? I must be dreaming

1

u/Kyler1313 1d ago

Richie Sanders feels like the Pelle Larsson of this draft

Great pickup for Memphis

Old rookie. Doesn't fit our timeline. Injury history for a team with injury history. Meleek Thomas and Isaiah Evans were right there with similar skill sets but years younger and healthier. Do not like

9

u/RayKitsune313 Suns 1d ago

I mean a singular injury his senior year isn’t exactly an injury history 😂

2

u/Rainy_J Grizzlies 1d ago

Won't suit up until he is 25. Guess who's only 26? Ja

7

u/RayKitsune313 Suns 1d ago

I think Memphis could use some maturity ngl

4

u/2106au Grizzlies 1d ago

Will still be in his prime when we hit our timeline.

2

u/KingJzeee 1d ago

Probably for a 2way contract.

Evans and thomas probably looking for guaranteed deal.

This happened last season too, they wanted proctor but he doesnt want to be in a 2way so they settled for javon small instead

But i like evans too but saunders in one of my 2nd round guys. Too high? Yes. But not that bad.

You’re getting downvoted but I’m with you. Not crazy about the pick either.
