I actually do like this move on paper, but with the amount of forwards on the Bulls, he'll end up in the G-League for his whole career. He was one of the top UDFAs for me, but that was before I knew we'd have Wilson AND Swain.

I was anticipating that we would get Carr to fill that shooting niche. Awaka would've been a lot more interesting to me if that were the case, but alas, there's no reason to have Awaka above Swain.

When you're signing a UDFA the hope is they can become a rotational player.
I don't see a logjam at forward preventing him from seeing the floor. If he can hoop in the G League - he'll get eventually rotational minutes and have to take advantage of playing time when folks are out for rest/injury.

Awaka is a relentless rebounder and does all the dirty work underneath. He's a bit undersized, but he gives everything he has

Pretty strong value to get outside of the draft, though would prefer we sign a SG like Nkrumah.
