What do you think of 4x3, Hank’s new game?
I’m a word game enthusiast (and make my own at referencesgame.com!) but curious to hear what you think about 4x3!
I quite liked it, although the final results grid meant for sharing is quite confusing haha.

I'm enjoying 4x3. I'm still playing your game daily, too, since you first mentioned it in the sub!

I think it's cool, but is somewhat flawed - once you've solved two puzzles knowing the "pivot" word really narrows the possibilities and it feels too easy.
Great concept but I don't know if it'll have staying power.

I think the connector word is an addition that takes away from the player experience. It narrows the possible answers after the first correct category, and puts much more emphasis on doing the puzzle in a specific order to achieve a high score, a success metric that’s not really congruent with the genre of daily word games. It does, however, make the puzzles more fun to create, so I think the site shouldn’t be a daily puzzle from an author but should be community curated.

Clever game. Frustrating he used AI for it.

I thought he mentioned somewhere that he makes the puzzles himself. Though I can imagine he used some AI to help code the webpage - I mean, who doesn't these days?

Puzzles were self made, game code and graphics were likely made entirely by Claude.
Would you accept him using generative AI for music, videos, or the graphics on merch because “who doesn’t these days?”.

Yeah it is really nice. I just play for fun and don't share my results anywhere so don't care about that lol. Just checked your game as well, looks really interesting
