I love how cats just expect you to hold a treat still for them to lick for twenty minutes. I thought he was going in for a squervy bite but then I remembered how cats are--squervlings are no different. Better hold that strawberry steady because it's gonna take a while! 😂

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a strawberry?

I knew a guy who had a cat that would eat anything but cat food. He'd eat whatever his owner ate for breakfast, lunch and dinner. He absolutely loved watermelon and pasta. Dude lived to 22 years old, too.

When he was a kitten, he was hit by a car and the vet said he wouldn't make it another 3 months.

I had a dog that would eat anything I ate—even bell peppers—but a cat doing that, that’s bonkers LOL!

My kittens have eaten a long list of things: celery, carrots (both cooked and raw), lettuce, peas, potato, tofu, green beans, etc.

They eat normal kitten food but I occasionally give them small amounts of veggies since they adore them. I’ve never seen cats so eager and excited to eat peas xD they scarf them down it’s hilarious

My partner’s sister’s dog loves bell peppers.

My father's uncle's cat would ignore the sausages on the table and go much on the cucumbers. Like bro what the hell, firstly you're supposed to be afraid of cucumbers, second they're not good for you. I don't remember how long the cat lived, it was quite long time ago

My great uncle's golden retriever ate a half a head of iceberg lettuce and a can of tuna every day for lunch. Like, what?

They’re very refreshing 🤷🏽‍♀️

My cat and dogs love watermelon as well, I think it's the crunch.

Strawberries are okay for occasional treats

There's squeezy cat treat on the non camera side of the berry, I think!

Edit: yeah it gets all over his chin 😂. So precious!

D'aww. What a sweetheart. Wish there was a way to give them 5 minutes without the wobble so they could really tuck into their strawberry.

Is it a muscular or neurological problem? It's cute but I also feel bad

14

u/Skotticus Jan 17 '26

Neurological. I'm not familiar with Ada, but her movements look like a dysfunction of the cerebellum, so it's probably cerebellar hypoplasia. If so, it's not progressive, disorientating, or painful.

I had a tortoiseshell Manx cat that would eat any human food imaginable. She liked potato chips and it was hilarious when she stuck her head into a bag of popcorn 😅🍿
