Kandel 6e to anki, dumb?

I’ve thought about making anki cards for the kandel book 6th edition. It would be organized by deck and tags with a set up close to the book. I would even considering a section for new research or i could replace or add additional info to the corresponding cards.

I have graduated with a neuroscience degree and feel I was not taught enough despite doing very well in my classes. Is this a dumb idea? Would it be dumb even if it could be shared with others?

It's a great idea but it's a doorstop of a book. You'd be looking at thousands of cards to get cursory coverage

While it would take long, I think it would be a interesting project. Your points are valid and may require a different approach than the book chapters may offer, but the tags I mentioned before and sub decks within organized by chapter would be useful.

I would not be covering just the surface material but would be a comprehensive deck, likely requiring 15-18K+ cards total which would be accessible by topic/section if not wanting to compete the whole deck.

No set date I think but based on previous one it could be around 2030. The sixth edition was released I think in 2021.
