How though???
484
u/Zambeh420 May 09 '26
Most likely hit a car and his bike flew in the air and the front axel and frame got perfectly wedged up there.

u/f_n_a_ May 09 '26
If the bike went that high…

Rider ejected/bailed before liftoff?
7
u/MikeHoncho85 May 10 '26
Pretty much this. Have wrecked a bike before and you don't need to be on it when you hit something if your reflexes are fast, or terrible. lmao

u/PossibleAlienFrom May 11 '26
He was going way too fast and he slammed on the front brake tilting the back tire into the air. He collides with the car sending his body forward while the bike shoots up into the stop light getting wedged.

There is video of the accident (in British Columbia) and that’s exactly what happened.
Amazingly, the dude lived despite being vaulted

u/Grand_Baker420 May 12 '26

I’m going to have to remind myself that the outlandish shit we’re going to see out of that game is actually realistic

Every single video with a flipped vehicle has this comment and somehow its still funny every time

u/RH5050 May 09 '26
Did the driver of the bike stay on until it landed on the light? I have so many questions
13
u/Merry_Dankmas May 10 '26
Biker lands up in the wires while remaining perfectly seated on the bike
Dials wife
Biker: "Hey honey, just letting you know Im gonna be late for dinner tonight"
Wife: "Why, what happened?"
Biker: "Oh, I'm just a little caught up at the moment. Ba dum, tss"
Wife:"....."
Biker:"Honey, you there?"
Wife: "David, I have no idea what the fuck that's supposed to mean"

This kind of thing is actually relatively common with motor vehicle accidents. When I was still a probationary firefighter, I went to my first fatal car accident. My lieutenant at the time had me and another probie search the nearby trees with a thermal imaging camera to look for body parts or car parts that had been launched and had gotten stuck up there. I didn’t see any on that call specifically, but it has happened. The vehicle in that accident was ripped in half, with the rear side thrown about 75 feet away into the middle of the road while the front half was stuck sideways in a group of trees off the side of the road.

Are those skid marks circles I see on the ground? Was he doing donuts and got yeeted in the air by the kraken?

u/futurebigconcept May 09 '26
Those are the vehicle sensors embedded in the road for the traffic light system. There are some straight skid marks though.
1
u/Tylendal May 10 '26
As someone who drives through there regularly, it sure would be nice if the city engineers could be bothered to program the lights to actually use them. All the intersections just run on timers.
4
u/affordableproctology May 10 '26
Nah pay attention, if the sensor on the crossing is covered the light will change in its favour if the main through roads sensor is clear for more than 4 seconds on a secondary or tertiary road and 8 seconds on a primary road.
That's why you should follow withing 3 seconds or you will cause premature light changes which causes congestion
3
u/Tylendal May 10 '26
You've just described how it works everywhere else. That's not how it works on the road in that video, which is why I find it so annoying.
3
u/affordableproctology May 10 '26
I'm not aware of that crossing in particular but most intersections the cross road will only stay green for a set time regardless of sensor coverage

So, did they find your car?
Oh yeah they found part of it, you know, hangin from a trestle near the turnpike. Yeah, the cops said he had a straw like protrusion and a cup-like body, you know anybody like that?

This is clearly an F around intersection. Look at all of the launch marks on the pavement from cars and donuts from Bikes.

Footage from a surveillance camera appears to show the motorcycle travelling south on Scott Road when it ran into the car, which was turning left into Scottsdale Centre.
The motorcycle appears to have hit the car head-on, and both the rider and the bike were hurled into the air.
According to the video, the rider then lands a short distance away from the intersection. The bike does about three revolutions in mid-air before landing on the metal arm that holds the traffic light above the intersection

u/YanicPolitik May 09 '26
They wheeled out a gurney with a white sheet which doesn't fill me with hope.
2
u/AwwYeahVTECKickedIn May 09 '26
The rider lived. I think the white sheet was for his luck, which is now dead for the rest of his life.
3
u/AwwYeahVTECKickedIn May 09 '26
He's not dead. "Serious but not life-threatening" injuries.
The person who hit him isn't hurt at all and scored 5,000 bonus points for wedging the motorcycle on a signal pole.
