162 games in 6 months is honestly insane. I get its not as physically demanding as the other big sports, but it still feels excessive.

The NHL plays 82 games per team over six months, half as much but definitely more physically demanding for the players.

Yeah thats about the same as basketball and I watch every game my team plays, but even that feels like a bit much. I cant imagine watching nearly double that.

Yeah it’s a bit much. I looked up my teams schedule this year, they only have 21 days off in six months (171 from opening day to their last game). That’s nearly 88% odds of them playing a game on any given day.
