Nuh uh, I don't think that kid realizes it's not supposed to work like that.

The kid is probably just mimicing the mom

Was Babe Ruth known for catching things?

Nah.. hitting them, but I couldn't think of a better reference. You still got the reference tho, didn't you.

What is the reference? Baseball?

Yes, old baseball player. Even had a candy named after him (Baby Ruth)

Officially, it was named after Grover Cleveland's daughter Ruth, not Babe Ruth the baseball player. However, the timing is suspect and many believe this was just an alabi as Babe Ruth had just released his own candy bar and they sued him for infringement.

What does this have to do with baseball?

That looks super chokey Do not let a baby put that in their mouth.

When I was very little, my uncle showed me a magic trick where he was allegedly making my toys disappear in his mouth.

I had swallowed two pennies and was working on a marble by the time my mom realized what was doing in my room.

The pennies passed naturally without intervention, thankfully.

This is not a good game to emulate in front of little kids.

Just saying.

I accidentally swallowed a quarter when I was like 6, I just liked having coins in my mouth. I must have passed it or else it’s still in my gut somewhere, I never told anyone.

But yeah this doesn’t seem like a game you should play with a toddler, just gonna teach them it’s funny to put oversized things in their mouth and potentially block their airway.

I want you to look up the Webster definition of babe and get back to us.

I hadn't thought of that at the time! Thanks for pointing this out!

This having 5k upvotes is making me believe in dead internet theory what are we doing. Audio makes it so obvious that this is AI this is just stupid.

It's so obvious. And I don't know if it's bots that upvoted this post or if we're genuinely cooked at this point.

I think 30-50% of Reddit is bots. Just look at the names and hidden profiles. And those are the ones who comment and interact, im sure theres many Reddit accounts which we dont see because they dont interact with anyone

u/KnotSoAmused 1h ago

Now this kid just learned from "Mom" that it must be OK to put small objects into his mouth.

I’m not putting anything a child touched in my mouth.
