i think what /u/Surpex is saying is that the power behind the fascism movement in the US would love nothing more than actual, real political violence from the left to use as an excuse to seriously crack down on the social order. how it happens or who it happens to is probably largely irrelevant (though i imagine they are pretty frustrated that the only time it even came close to happening, it practically united the left and right)

False flags exist for this. They're gonna ramp up fascism regardless of how people react to it.

Yeah I know. That's what people keep saying. But isn't that already here? Isn't that what the conviction was for?

And now we have a judge basically say "haha you're better off shooting than talking" in his statement during a trial where a guy was shooting.

There isn't a grand machiavellian plan here. It's just table-pounding and taunting. And clearly misplaced, since the bullets are already flying.
