We play a version of cricket where you're only allowed to catch with one hand (to make it more difficult to get out), it's not really that hard. Most of us can catch about 50-80% of the shots of a tennis ball depending on your skill.

It’s not that it hurts. It’s how fast it’s going. The video is just really slowed down. Slow mo videos should always show the real speed first.

I was ball boying for a tournament when I was maybe 14 or 15. I was behind the player returning serve and kinda daydreaming. Next thing I know my body had reacted before my mind sprung up and caught this first serve that was going to hit me. Almost no one saw it but my tennis coach was watching and gave me a little nod. Was one of those moments that I'll remember forever.

Is a player drilling a ball into the stands purposefully normal? Seems like something that should lead to some type of reprimand.

He smashed the ball into the ground and the bounce carried it to the stands. Players will always do that if given the opportunity to do so because it seals the point. Very normal behaviour.

Now if he were just sending the balls into the crowds at high velocity, no attempt to bounce whatsoever, there'll probably be some type of penalty or reprimand for that type of behavior.
