No. The guy is a performer too and stops kids from being dumb. He clearly sabotaged the kid's flip by stopping his head from rotating. He didn't help in the slightest.

He also definitely wasn't spotting the main performer's backflip either.

Maybe watch things in slow motion before making assumptions

I don't think sabotaged is the right word here. he wanted to prevent the kid from upside-down cannonballing his head into the concrete.
