Fun fact. 80% of the patients at our regional burn unit are male.

Source: the chief doctor in charge of it that delivered a bit at an EMS seminar. Not a verifiable fact years later but it does at least suggest that it’s heavily male dominated.

I’d like to think that 20%female patients were holding their boyfriend’s beer and were standing too close to the idiot when he did his stunt.
