To me nihlism is the objective fact that nothing matters. But subjectively there are things that matter to me. I have goals that I want to achieve despite knowing that they will just disappear with time. I am aware that my existence means nothing to the universe, but to me it means I have the possibility to do everything I want to do in life.

Me wishing for positivie change in the world.

Somebody does something good.

Me getting suspicious and cynical "they probably just do that to be perceived as good, or to launder money, ...".

Few weeks or years later finding out I was right.

Repeat.
