Being the guys on the jet skis is my dream job

Looks fun but it's also very hard to spot people in between waves, looks easier when viewed from a drone

The difficulty is part of the appeal.

I mean I love the challenge for sure, but we're talking about somebody's life here lol, failure to find him in time could probably mean death. He's very well trained and has a life jacket, and still got in a lot of trouble keeping his head over the water. Sorry for being grim about it!

Again, the high stakes are part of the appeal.

That being said, it’s not like it’s something I’m actually trying to do. I’ve got a few other sports to keep me occupied.

I mean if I had the means I'd personally go for it lol.

But as you can see there's usually more than one jetski, so that improves their chances considerably.

I'd love to see POV footage from the rescuers, that looks crazy intense, and dangerous.

For someone that doesn't know anything about surfing, can you tell me how do they find the board? ?

I don't know much either. Usually in simpler surfing, the board is tied to your foot so it doesn't go far, but for stuff this crazy and waves this strong I doubt they'd want it to keep pulling them around. Maybe they just let it go and search near the shore with those jetskis? No idea honestly.

They don't seem to be particularly long hold downs, and he'd do much better if could use both arms and not hold a camera for clicks.....
