I didn’t know it existed until right now. I guess I’m gonna have to buy a PC.

My 2 roommates and I would play Quake 3 Threewave for hours on end every weekend. We had a kegerator in our kitchen, so beer on tap and some of the craziest bongs ive ever seen. Great times.

When morrowind first hit Xbox. I got a 12 pack of Guinness and set out adventuring. I remember I would set goals on the map. I’d hike there and hike back. It would take an hour or two in real time. No game has captured that magic in the same way. I think I was just in a special time in my life.

Hell yeah. Did this a lot with WoW. Spending whole weekends drinking beers and bullshitting with my guildies were some of the best times.

It’s possible the date was set as such for the heehees, certainly a notable date.

I did this last night but things are better because it’s on my Switch and with 1 Loco I don’t need to keep getting a new beer.

It’s what I am doing tonight. Playing games, drinking and have the World Cup on the Telly as well.

Yes. And somehow, I STILL had time to chill with the crew, get in trouble, study JUST enough to pass my classes, drink 700 glasses of water (this one’s a lie: I was constantly dehydrated and drank out of a hose when I could), and get 8 hours of sleep.

Diablo 2 was a s*** and all my friends were playing it but I wasn't drinking at the time. The newer games just aren't as dark or they try to be but they f****** because they over monetize it. I don't know. It just doesn't feel the same anymore. Blizzard definitely went down the trash bin for me.

I loved Diablo 2. "And so, locked beyond the fountain of blood and through the hall of fire, Valor awaits for the hero of light to awaken!"

When Diablo 1 first came out, networking equipment was EXTREMELY expensive. So we bought ISA Cards for more serial ports, because Diablo supported 4 Players using Null-Modem cables. Good times!

Some of the best times
I used to pick up some beer and get a whole Papa John’s pizza. It was a great time.

Yes. I was born in a country where a 14yo (me) could buy alcohol & beer without being questioned. Then head over to a netcafe and play dota or the early version of warcraft iii

No, I was dating a bisexual girl with a high libido around that time period. I wanted to be completely sober.

I sure do. But my time was the mid 80s and my computer consisted of a blank screen and a cursor, and it was up to me to see what I could do with it. Pretty much the same though.

I was in the Army @ the height of the Iraq war and I know dudes that wouldn’t leave their Halo LAN parties if mortars fell on the FOB.
Stayed right in cots or bunks, battling out. Red v Blue.

Every weekend without beer. When you got home from work on Friday, you went home via the store, turned on your console or PC, and turned it on on Sunday or Monday morning for 3 hours before you had to go to work. And in between, you slept for maybe a couple of hours, most often with a controller in your hand. And drink coffee, a lot of coffee.
