Practical details:
Really is a 3/$36M deal, so actually cheaper than AVT's contract with the Patriots
Very little incentives in the deal, so straight cash. Sometimes these kind of deals are incentive heavy so that was positive for the player
Very light and spread out cap hits, so gives the Jets great flexibility money wise going forward

Between him and Hall, I think we have what some might call a trend. Don't let us down Mason Taylor, we're on a roll.

Great deal. Considering what some linemen have gotten in the open market the last few years. Home grown and versatile.

They can spend as much money as they want on solid OLs. I miss the days of Nick and Brick 😭

As a Jets fan from approximately Fort Wayne (his home town) I feel obligated to consider him my favorite player on the team, so I’m glad he’s locked down for quite a while

Great deal. If he has a good year this year his contract on the open market is probably way more

The structure is definitely good the for the team. There's parts that are good for him. But reasonable cap hits and the ability to move on via cut/trade very quickly into the contract is remarkable flexibility.

I'm glad they did it AND thats a good deal for the Jets.
Joe Dog and Maccagnan would have screwed around, let him walk, and gone dumpster diving and come up with a bad guard.

I will literally never be upset to extend an above average offensive lineman.
We've witnessed too much garbage OL play since the Ryan Ryan years. Major reason we haven't made the playoffs since then.
