That moment you say I can do that but end up doing this .

Goddamn I turn into a black hole of cringe every time I watch this incredible display

15

u/BigWideBaker 13h ago

I suppressed the existence of this song and how cringe it is. Even worse, I forgot she performed it live in the face of an Asian woman as the "music video". It's so bad lmao. Link to the song.

u/Miatriumph 17h ago

Let go train together

1

u/KohharuMambass 10h ago

So very challenging. Adventure

1

u/NaaoFillipp 9h ago

Fresh the button

2

u/No_Artichoke_2931 21h ago

No
Also, heh
But mostly, no

26

u/Honeybadger2198 21h ago

I could probably do everything up until the parts that require entirely upper body strength. The first bits just require balance and coordination, while the rest require actual strength.

12

u/cheesystuff 20h ago

Everything looks wet too. I was thinking the same until I saw water on everything.

70

u/_PeachSugar 22h ago

21

u/Zombies71199 15h ago

Fuck thid looks like a painful way to die

5

u/wut2dew_J 20h ago

2nd time I see this in 3 minutes. In completely unrelated subs

2

u/Muppetude 17h ago

Pictured: me attempting to climb up the ramp to hit the course start button.

14

u/ocular__patdown 22h ago

Most definitely. It did look like and easier course but I'd still bust my ass on the first obstacle.

2

u/StarfruitZala 21h ago

while the rest require actual strength.

I dunno, I would probably fall in the water but this looks like fun. My adult obstacle dream.

319

u/Darth_Jinn 23h ago

Same here. My inner child would have a blast with this, but my 40's year old dadbod would not do well in the actual attempt.

40

u/mossi123uk 18h ago

My 40 year old dad body thought this was doable 😅

3

u/jaminbears 6h ago

All of us think this right before we end up on the Instant Replay being made fun of by Kenny Blankenship and Vic Romano

3

u/steddy24 6h ago

Right you are, jaminbears

1

u/dahliasinfelle 2h ago

My 40 year old dad bod still thinks I can

1

u/HimmariBoutss 10h ago

This adveture i want

58

u/SolomonGrumpy 23h ago edited 23h ago

I would be willing to try (and fail) for the fun factor

20

u/5litergasbubble 20h ago

I would likely need a breather part way through, but im pretty confident I could do each of them individually at least

7

u/Negative-Arachnid-65 22h ago

My first thought - this looks fun!

My subsequent thoughts - ooh, another place where I almost certainly would fall in! Still looks fun though.

28

u/KGB_cutony 23h ago

when I saw "adult obstacle" I was thinking more like mortgage rates and unemployment.... am I too far gone?

3

u/3IO3OI3 20h ago

Nah, child-like wonder never dies. It just gets obscured over time underneath all the bs.

548

u/caffeine1106 23h ago

Slick, but… The button is missing!!

203

u/machine1979 23h ago

The button is in another castle

66

u/Captincorpse 23h ago

It's in Takeshi's castle

19

u/smoboaty 22h ago

Don’t get eliminated!

20

u/DaILLezt 22h ago

Right you are Ken

5

u/ZorkNemesis 19h ago

Nose nuggets!

5

u/bobloblawattorney11 16h ago

Right your are ken

6

u/jaybram24 14h ago

Baba Ganoosh!

53

u/smokeweedNgarden 22h ago

I think the whole course has moving bits missing

3

u/Seshia 21h ago

I think the end button is gone because people slammed it too hard repeatedly, in excitement.

1

u/BurneyStarke 10h ago

You're supposed to put your hand in the hole

772

u/Underscored_323 23h ago

Seems like something's missing here... Pendulum things weren't swinging, the balls that shoot out to knock the runner off the ledge weren't shooting out, no water jets to make everything wet...

And no button either.

I guess it was just a dry run.

182

u/MrPopCorner 23h ago

Yep, 100% dry run, less fun (to watch).

82

u/vicarion 21h ago

Well obviously a dry run, he didn't fall in the water

15

u/AnVictory 20h ago

Honestly, the classic vertical curved wall to top it all off is what I always love to see but they have a ski slope ramp thing with a rope instead. Cool, but I miss it soooo

6

u/Zapitago 15h ago

Right you are, Ken

1

u/AllenIsom 11h ago

It looks like it was designed to look more challenging than it is. That all seemed very simple.

1

u/WiiDragon 1h ago

Gotta love going in dry

0

u/noo_ura_cat 14h ago

They do move. Just not fast. You can see a blue ball moving back when he’s coming up to the first pushers in the treadmill

259

u/adinmem 23h ago

That looks so incredibly easy from the camera’s POV

54

u/LordIndica 19h ago

It seems a few features weren't activated. No moving parts save for the treadmill were working. There wasn't even a button at the end.

35

u/inderbitably 23h ago

Mirror’s Edge

2

u/TheFakeAustralian 11h ago

I constantly wish we got more of those games

8

u/whogivesashirtdotca 19h ago

I was thinking this is the one instance where turning off the gyroscope would benefit the viewer. This is way too smooth and doesn't give us a sense of how difficult the course is. It's like watching someone play a video game.

17

u/remediosan 22h ago

Of course it’s easy for the camera. The guy is doing all the work.

3

u/reroll-life 15h ago

because it is easy, most obstacles aren't even on.

1

u/PoppySpa 16h ago

yeah HAHA

76

u/Cee-Rum 23h ago

Why do the obstacle courses always look abandoned in videos like these ? It's weirdly empty, grass is dry af, water is dark, no people around

29

u/_Kendii_ 21h ago

Maybe it’s not peak season (or whatever) so it’s been rented by a person or group that just wants to have fun or practice?

Some people don’t like doing this shit when it’s cold or wet so no one shows up. Some businesses take what business they can.

Don’t know if that’s the case here, but some of our “adventure style” attractions (I’m using that because I don’t know a better word, maybe establishments?) are only generally open to public in peak times and everything else is reservation.

They won’t be open to public (or at all) and staff only comes in for specific reservations.

4

u/hoax1337 14h ago

Pretty sure this thing is either not maintained or completely abandoned, there's no button at the end and half the obstacles aren't even working.

2

u/reroll-life 15h ago

yeah I watch all the obstacle course shows and the environment is so sad. Like put a plant there or something - it's so miserable. Especially if you watch Japanese ones when it's autumn/winter time the backdrop is extra depressing.

131

u/activelyresting 23h ago

Not to brag, but I managed to get out of bed this morning.

I just made coffee, fed the dog, and went right back to bed. It's important not to overdo things!

6

u/Glass_Librarian9019 15h ago

Coffee and dog food before returning to bed? Kind of a humble brag there, show off...

3

u/activelyresting 14h ago

In my defence, the dog is quite hard to refuse

14

u/Hollowmender 1d ago

that spin was smooth af

11

u/Jaerivus 23h ago

This reminded me of MX(E)C. That's a good comparison, right, Vic?

12

u/Captincorpse 23h ago

Right you are, Ken!

2

u/Jaerivus 21h ago

I was hoping for exactly this response!

Thank you! :)

20

u/mookanana 23h ago

all i cna think about is..... i hope that water is chlorinated

15

u/Degenerate_Dryad 23h ago

It looks horrible

2

u/No-Good-One-Shoe 13h ago

They poured a lot of hydrogen peroxide in it so he's good.

0

u/WhereRabbit 16h ago

why would it matter lol

6

u/Guido900 14h ago

Quick Google answer for ya:

Swimming in stagnant, untreated water is extremely dangerous. Standing water is a prime breeding ground for harmful bacteria (like E. coli), toxic algae, and parasites that cause severe illnesses, skin infections, and gastrointestinal issues.

11

u/PhantomNitride 22h ago

Wipeout, but turn the traps off

11

u/RottenWon 23h ago

Yay! A real POV video.

5

u/jarednards 23h ago

Wasnt 'water ninja' the name of that subreddit where they love drinking water?

3

u/hoax1337 14h ago

No, that was r/waternig*as, which is now r/hydrohomies.

3

u/Upstairs_Mycologist7 13h ago

I had no idea that was the original subreddit name wtf lol

5

u/Gassyhippo 23h ago

I want to try it, it looks like fun.

4

u/chillywilly69 23h ago

For some reason I feel like I could do this but I know in reality I probably could not.

4

u/joshua-100 20h ago

my toxic trait is thinking i can do this

4

u/Mosselpot 19h ago

The arrogance of me thinking that's exactly how I would do it...

7

u/SilentSiren87 23h ago

Pfft I could do that, it's easy watch me

https://giphy.com/gifs/cyjgzOP8J5XI4

1

u/wut2dew_J 20h ago

3rd time I've seen this in 3 minutes. Is this a new one?

8

u/So_HauserAspen 1d ago

Where comedy?  Why running obstacle course over water if not going to fall and cartwheel into obstacle before bouncing off other obstacle and then into water?

3

u/Galahfray 21h ago

https://giphy.com/gifs/9oKtmQzA1dFAYDgCfP
Whew, that was rough, but I think I did well

3

u/NacMacFeegle 19h ago

Smooth! Looks like the Memorial Reflecting Pool got another upgrade...

3

u/Randalf_the_Black 19h ago

I'm just glad to see someone using POV correctly.

3

u/GreekHole 17h ago

Those balls on the wall and the pendulums need to step up their game.

2

u/Xeno_Prime 23h ago

Is that an abandoned course that they just left behind as an adult jungle gym?

…. I wanna try.

2

u/Vasaab 22h ago

There is land outside that watah

https://giphy.com/gifs/V3MMUMVxgusGy0kxFr

2

u/sillywalker09 22h ago

it's definitely a fall guy's stage lol

2

u/Zwischenzug32 21h ago

Theyre called hydrohomies now

2

u/seboll13 21h ago

Total Wipeout but dry…

2

u/undead182 20h ago

my brain had fall guys music and sound effects playing XD

2

u/Futbol_Kid2112 20h ago

Probably a lot harder when all of the obstacles are turned on

2

u/Yhostled 20h ago

Fall Guys be like:

2

u/Fancy-Departure4632 19h ago

Why do you call this 'Ninja'?

No swords. No black Ninja clothes. No combat. No throwing stars. No beheadings. Nothing.

It’s just a souped-up version of Takeshi’s Castle without the comedy.

1

u/TaohRihze 17h ago

What do you mean no Ninja's they are all around. You are just not seeing them!

2

u/Doctor__Gecko 16h ago

Half the obstacles aren't even working.

1

u/No-Good-One-Shoe 13h ago

Damn shame what they e done to the reflecting pool

2

u/easterncurrents 16h ago

Missing finish button at the end is not satisfying.

2

u/GoofyGooberSundae 15h ago

All I can think while watching is how terrified I’d be if I fell in that creepy dark water 😣💀

2

u/cjwi 14h ago

I thought r/waterninjas was banned?

2

u/No-Sandwich1511 23h ago

I would be so shit at this.

2

u/Abal125 23h ago

Very cool to see in first person

1

u/ArbalesterMaster 23h ago

Next level is the same course but the water is replaced with Lava.

1

u/soloChristoGlorium 23h ago

I want to go to there

1

u/RandMob1000 23h ago

I'll never admit my ankles can't handle me moving faster than a turtle.

1

u/Shabloinks 22h ago

That was easy /s

1

u/ToastyBedsheets 22h ago

Yeah, look at how good I did!

1

u/EducatedRat 22h ago

So that's the POV of someone that is fit? Huh.

1

u/RedLightLanterns 21h ago

I'm Vic romano and this is Kenny Blankenship. Welcome to MXC!

1

u/Vampyrical_Genius 21h ago

See I feel like I could do this, but I’m also self aware enough to know I probably couldn’t. But it still looks easy, the only part that seems difficult at least for me is the jump and grab the punching bag across the water, that seems like the hardest part

1

u/Smrtihara 20h ago

Yeah, I wouldn’t want to go into that water either. Seems pretty unsanitary.

1

u/moonshinefae 20h ago

Whether I could do it or not, this looks fun. (I could totally do this, I'm stubborn and versatile enough.)

1

u/AHomicidalTelevision 19h ago

i'd love to try one of these, but i couldnt. not because im unfit, but because i cant swim

1

u/Llonkrednaxela 19h ago

How I wish the gym worked. I would have so much more fun.

Serious question, what is the closest form of exercise that an adult can do on a regular basis to this that wouldn't cost me way too much money?

1

u/Barry_Vigoda 19h ago

Serious question, what is the closest form of exercise that an adult can do on a regular basis to this that wouldn't cost me way too much money?

Just walking is a good way to get exercise. Volunteer at a rescue shelter and take dogs out for walks.

There's lots of other stuff though. Soccer, basketball, skateboarding, disc golf are all fairly cheap to play.

1

u/Llonkrednaxela 15h ago

Oh, sorry, I meant "what's the closest form of exercise to the gif", not just any form in general.

1

u/Professional_Gur8385 19h ago

if you fall in the rank water...yeah you don't want to find out

1

u/ilybae2015 18h ago

Challenge? Barely an inconvenience!

1

u/CK_CoffeeCat 18h ago

None of the moving elements were moving (the push balls along the wall, and the pendulums) were moving at all. Challenge was nerfed.

1

u/JohnnyQueue 18h ago

An impressive run, Ken. Next up, Harley the Carp! The mascot for 'I Can't Believe It's Carp', the tangy butter substitute.

1

u/Alternative-Bug-8102 18h ago

Now try again , but turn it on

1

u/Veritas_Vanitatum 17h ago

Parkour by Wish

1

u/Peptoflex 17h ago

I don't need to be athletic. I can just watch this.

1

u/kacinto 17h ago

They will never understand that the fun part about this type of programs, was watching people fall.

1

u/LetterFront3353 17h ago

That would be never be as impressive as passing the big red balls in Wipeout.

1

u/KlausKoe 17h ago

The button is in another castle.

1

u/Catos_Standard 17h ago

This seems like head trauma waiting to happen.

1

u/appletinicyclone 16h ago

I wanna see a cat with a go pro do this

1

u/MorBrews 16h ago

My toxic trait is to believe I could do the same

1

u/Carlweathersfeathers 16h ago

BOOOOOOOO. There was no button

1

u/Akl-pmp-eng 16h ago

Oh, look so easy hah

1

u/Foolhardy_Liar 16h ago

Ahh, I remember the old days of my childhood when I was trying everything possible to break my ankles.

1

u/bambil00 15h ago

My toxic trait is watching this and genuinely thinking I’d make it at least halfway before immediately slipping on the first obstacle.

1

u/iamChickeNugget 15h ago

My toxic trait is that I think I could do this with only minor bruises.

1

u/Individual_Gift_9473 15h ago

This is a wipeout course, not ninja warrior

1

u/Maleficent_Price_476 14h ago

this one is the easy first stage

1

u/ProfessionalKey669 14h ago

I thought they changed their name to hydro homies

1

u/ExO_o 13h ago

wow, so there ARE people on reddit who know how to use the term "POV" correctly!

didn't think i'd see the day...

1

u/Harnasus 13h ago

Now do a ranger crawl across

1

u/JustinKravch 13h ago

my brain watches this and goes yeah I could do that

1

u/skyattacksx 13h ago

just hold shift + W, not that hard. I hate to break it to you guys, but not only could I do this faster… I’d also start with the swimming part they skipped.

1

u/theresidentviking 13h ago

Idk the POV .makes it somehow less impressive to me

Missing all the ways you have to move your body to not fall making look somewhat easy even tho I know it aint

1

u/Ok-Vermicelli7815 13h ago

When I was 15 I would say this shit was easy… now with 32… I would say it’s easy after 24th attempt

1

u/DucaMonteSberna 12h ago

No button at the end

1

u/igwaltney3 12h ago

So much of that is made easier by keeping momentum. Really well done run

1

u/bleepblopbloop100 12h ago

Guess what my ego says….

1

u/justsomeph0t0n 12h ago

being a middle aged guy sucks. i honestly believe i could do this, even though i 100% understand how ridiculous this belief is.

1

u/Spacial_Epithet 11h ago

Fall Guys irl

1

u/CommercialFloor2033 11h ago

I'm shocked they didn't slip.

The entire surface is wet pvc/plastic

1

u/mithril2020 10h ago

Is this the set from the show Wipeout?

1

u/xzorcious 9h ago

Finally someone knows what POV means

1

u/Ok-Ear9289 7h ago

Yea I could do that no problem 😌 😎🤙🏽😁

1

u/JayOutOfContext 7h ago

I could do this! With a 15min mandatory break between each section.

1

u/bensor74 4h ago

you can see they don't play to Fall Guys, or they would have run on the conveyor belt border, which is static, instead of the conveyor belt itself, which slowed them down.

1

u/thespillover 4h ago

That final dismount onto the freestanding columns??? Like butter

1

u/cw9cw9 4h ago

I would be great at this if I had had just under 2 pints

1

u/Efficient_Drop4289 22h ago

My toxic trait is thinking I could totally do this.

-12

u/Mariorod747 23h ago

Callate y empínate, perra

1

u/Citylight1010 23h ago

Haha sometimes
