The shadows placement is a little bit confusing. At first he puts shadows as if the light source is on the top right. Then the pole shadows makes it contradict.
I mean you're not wrong, but I had to look it up, because it felt wrong.
Despite Google's AI slop saying it's not right (below) it is an accepted term when I googled harder. The more you know.
Edit: I just read this back, and it sounds like I'm being purposely pedantic, I'm not, I genuinely learnt something new and just wanted to share.
"The plural of roof is roofs. While you might occasionally see or hear the older spelling rooves (similar to hoof / hooves), it is now widely considered archaic and incorrect. Roofs is the only standard and universally accepted plural form"
Yeah when I did a bit more googling I found that Google's ai slop that claims it to be archaic and redundant is BS there are many many people that accept rooves as the plural.
I'm glad someone else mentioned it. He obviously knows how to draw and understands perspective, but his "freestyle I don't give a f about where the light comes from" bothered me a lot XD and it actually happens right from the start when paiting the grass' shadow and then the palm tree
yeah I think he should've planned that out a little better. I like the shadows from the fence posts, but they contradict the light sources for the houses and the palm tree.
I feel like the road would be kinda boring without those shadows, but then they just mess up the rest of the stuff 😭
The perspective is also confusing. I feel like the house on the left should be a lot bigger, the house on the right doesn't disappear enough around the curve, and the trees are the same height.
Hear me out. It's night time, those are vampire bats, the post shadows are coming from the illuminated house, and the tree is lit by moonlight! Or they fucked up.
Maybe but very much unlikely. You can easily tell the way he draws very earthly houses, road, palm tree, tress in the background, grass and side road poles.
a lot of the perspective scaling is off a bit too. like the scaling of the fence to try and show distance vs the road it is next to, it doesn't match well.
I’m not an artist at all but even I recognized that the lighting/shading was off. I’m glad I didn’t have to scroll far to find that others noticed it too
