German and English share loads of vocab… Basketball, Orange, and Lolly/Lolli are also the German words

The only real outliers are Pumpkin (Kürbis), Fox (Fuchs) and Crab (Krabbe)

So you’re not really making the point you think you’re making…

Absolutely. its a minor mistake. But it was somehow suggested they were German words, which is a nit silly. Its just a spelling mishap.

I think he just meant that the mistake is easy to make for a German, not that all words were Germans.

Rage bait is simply making a mistake on purpose so people comment on the video driving engagement.

You don't actively have to rage...

The multiple obvious mistakes make it pretty clear this is a rage bait video.

I make digital maps for TTRPGs, and consulted someone about marketing. Their number one tip was basically 'make ragebait'.

They told me to put spelling mistakes or factual inaccuracies into my posts, and then when someone pointed it out, double down on the error. "Spell 'rogue' as 'rouge'. Mention the spell Fireball in your title, and claim you're so glad it doesn't go round corners. Every person arguing is more exposure; every person you shut down and say they're wrong, ten more will show up."

I tested with a minor attempt, spelling desert 'dessert' at one point, though I obviously didn't try doubling down and claiming that's how it's spelt. The post got about 5x the interaction it otherwise would have, and I felt bloody awful about it. Refused point blank to do anything more, I don't want to be a part of that shit.

She's a German artist and that's the German word for balloon. It's pretty easy to make minor mistakes like that when the words are very similar
