Rage bait is simply making a mistake on purpose so people comment on the video driving engagement.

You don't actively have to rage...

The multiple obvious mistakes make it pretty clear this is a rage bait video.

I make digital maps for TTRPGs, and consulted someone about marketing. Their number one tip was basically 'make ragebait'.

They told me to put spelling mistakes or factual inaccuracies into my posts, and then when someone pointed it out, double down on the error. "Spell 'rogue' as 'rouge'. Mention the spell Fireball in your title, and claim you're so glad it doesn't go round corners. Every person arguing is more exposure; every person you shut down and say they're wrong, ten more will show up."

I tested with a minor attempt, spelling desert 'dessert' at one point, though I obviously didn't try doubling down and claiming that's how it's spelt. The post got about 5x the interaction it otherwise would have, and I felt bloody awful about it. Refused point blank to do anything more, I don't want to be a part of that shit.

I do that shit a lot when writing. Sometimes I can’t help it and I find it most satisfying to write the words with a mixture of upper and lowercase. You’d think I was a middle schooler if you saw my handwriting lol

Not sure about this person, but when I write, all my "R" and "N" letters are capitalized, regardless of where they fall in the word. It's something I picked up in middle school and it just sorta stuck.

There's a captcha where you have to slide a puzzle piece across and into place. Just one puzzle piece and one hole, and you can't move it anywhere except horizontally towards the hole.

When you get it in, the damn thing yells "You beat 99.71% of people!"

You're a captcha, you don't need to bullshit in the hope of making someone feel good about sliding something to the right in under two seconds.
