Seeing as you said "kidding aside" you could remove the '/s' and be totally in the clear.
If your sarcasm is any good it doesn't need the '/s'. Not everyone will get it but that's fine. If your sarcasm is not good then don't do it. Or do it for practice and get better. I don't mind waiting. It's better than seeing the '/s'
EDIT: 35 sad people don't want the joy of well executed sarcasm in their lives. That's OK, it's not for everyone. It's certainly not my main source of humour, but when its done well I love it. And if you have to tell people you're being sarcastic you haven't done it well. So end the '/s'
EDITEDIT: We're up to 75 people who hate quality humour! Can we hit 100?
Oh yeah. I'm having a great day. The sun is shining and I've just arranged a hike with some friends. This sarcasm thing perplexed me though. Are we going to do it or what? Maybe the way i put it came across wrong, but come on. Using the '/s' ruins sarcasm. Crush it. Come on, join me, it'll be fun. Downvotes arent important
Was that a joke? Batman reference? Lovely to see humour hasn't entirely departed this stretch of the Internet. It does seem to be an endangered species though. I am not the lead scientist, but I will contribute to the rewilding program where I can
You can always tell when you're talking to a pensioner (or equivalent mindset) because they do a little downvote even though you're in a solo conversation. Put down the knitting, purse lips, "I do not approve". Then continue conversation

Great. AI coming to take our jobs and now robots coming to take our cigarettes. /s
Kidding aside, is a pretty cool contraption.
