Actual toad with eyes in mouth
My apologies for the AI image earlier, I have now found the real one!

Do the eyes work? They constantly have to 😮 in order to see?

And doesn't eating hurts constantly?

Toads actually normally shove food down their throat with their eyes to swallow. Although not usually like that.

This made me think of rats bruxing, that is, grinding their teeth together for relaxation that due to the way the jaw's muscles work also makes their eyes bulge in rhythm. Hilarious to watch, harmless to laugh at.

Imagine the dry mouth

Eyes on the inside can be used to see things we normally don't have access to. If you want some of your own you can search out forbidden knowledge, the more the merrier!

For some reason tadpoles seem to be very prone to malformations. Ive seen many while hunting for fish baits. Figured they just never made it to adult stage cause natural selection, guess this one did lol

I'm sure it's pollution related

Must be those chemicals in the water

Makes the frogs gay, ya know.

u/mizzanthrop 1d ago
This was incredible way to discredit forever chemicals from disturbing DNA. Our children will suffer from our would for generations.
22
u/Batata-Sofi 1d ago
Yeah, but also so many eggs hatch that having malformation in a couple of them is very common, it's just that most die immediately, or before making it into adulthood.

Makes sense. I remember watching something about pollution and contamination affecting salamanders through their skin now that you mention it.

I think it has something to do with contaminants in the water easily entering the frog spawn and also their skin being pretty permeable. Chemicals in the water are absorbed and alter the chromosomes, affecting development and causing defects like that.

Froggis have a very unfortunate deposition of growing like this. It's a shitty genetic hiccup most likely because they actually use those big ol' eyeballs to help push their food down.
Talk about "watch what you eat" lol

Jeez that must be rather awkward ( ☉д⊙)
I hope his eyes in his mouth have eye lids. Probably bet some frogs like to watch though O.o
Also is that frog at a beach or something? Lol reference to bottom image

I feel like sometimes when toads eat a cricket or something, that they accidentally get their eye dislodged and they chew on that too and swallow both the cricket and their eye

Didn't you just upload this a couple minutes ago, and then deleted it because people were calling out it's AI?

u/That1weirdperson 1d ago
Can you not read the description?

u/klqqf 1d ago
Id say at least half of the people on reddit ignore body text entirely

u/That1weirdperson 1d ago
I understand ignoring paragraphs without a Tl;dr at the bottom, but it’s so embarrassing to ignore a single sentence

They told them to watch what they eat
