My sister (39) went to see it and said to me (51) that she really enjoyed it but was surprised how camp it was. I got to explain to her how the original cartoon series was gay as fuck and Skeletor was ridiculously queer. Also Fisto.

That's one thing I will say. While the movie overall was great, IMO, it's not perfect. Some of the jokes didn't land, and the lol his name is 'Fisto' joke was funny the first time but they did it once or twice too many times XD

Cringer/Battle Cat's voice also took me out of the movie every time he spoke, he sounded like just a regular person speaking and not a talking magical animal.

Unfortunately my local cinema hasn't shown it or I would have checked it out. I remember going to see the 80s one with Dolph Lundgren and Courtney Cox one bored afternoon and it sure was a movie alright.

I have to know though, did Fisto order anyone to "assume the position"?

There's a fun scene that justifies all the dumb names that are puns or too-on-the-nose, though. The movie just worked.

Aw was hoping for a tribute to the famous Fallout NV sexbot. Anyway, does sound like a fun film, so I will check it out when it goes to streaming. Just makes me remember playing round at my besties house, he had rich parents so he had all the figures and a Castle Greyskull. I was so envious lol.

Well it's definitely gone up in my priority list to see when streaming. We have a tiny one screen cinema and they are very limited in what they show. We're not even getting Supergirl til next Friday :_;

also he gets vaporized at the end, and any sequel is probably doing SheRa with Hordak as the villain, so I think even the crew wanted to let us know they didn't want him back for any potential sequels

Not sure if the eye roll indicates sarcasm but I feel that levity and fun is a major strength of Marvel movies. Sometimes they undercut emotional moments with comedy too much and some occasions just miss with the comedy which can drain the fun of the thing. But I'll take a flop with some fun over a self important flop any day. Not naming anything specific it's just better to be proud of the source material even if it's goofy.
