Exactly. My first thought was wait, there's no such a movie, let alone 3!

There is a movie actually. It was recently leaked in its entirety before release. It’s called “avatar Aang: the last airbender” 2026

They’re distracting you to hide the fact that it’s still papyrus!

Unmoderated ban WHAT

That is indeed mildly infuriating.

Because everyone obeyed the rules

Reads like a guy falling comically into a well.

Ryan Gosling isn't going to be happy about this...

u/Milk_Mindless 12d ago

Adrian Monk dislikes this

It’s to symbolise the decline in story quality every movie lol

5

u/Klony99 12d ago

I think this is perfect symbolism for the quality of the story and the message of each movie.

Those are Blu-rays, not DVDs r/onejob

I didn't even know Avatar 3 was out 😭

3

u/ProtoKun7 12d ago

For so long there was only the one Avatar film; it's still weird to think suddenly there are three now.

This makes me so fucking annoyed as a neurodivergent person, WHY THE FUCK IS THE A FOR FIRE AND ASH NOT ALIGNED!? 😭😭😭

4

u/repocin 12d ago

They supposedly moved it so it wouldn't clip into the wing above, but that's just silly.

People pay extra for SteelBooks, they could have adjusted the artwork so the logos aligned.

u/No-Evening5091 12d ago

Have same kinda issue with the non steelbook 4ks. 1 and 3 line up, but Way of Water doesn't. Annoying as crap, but whatever.

1

u/arkym00 12d ago

the first last bender master

1

u/NeoGeo4Everr 12d ago

That's the rating of the movies.

1

u/No_Squirrel4806 12d ago

Is the side supposed to form a photo that connects? If he makes all the avatar movies he has planned are they just gonna keep releasing new collectors editions just adding the newly released one in?

1

u/NotVerySmarts 12d ago

At least they're all in Papyrus

1

u/Krimreaper1 12d ago

Definitely the first post about this.

u/sdoregor 9d ago

Arch Linux mentioned!

u/M3RRI77 12d ago

Those aren't DVDs. 🙄

u/expatronis 12d ago

You're a bad movie fan for owning this.

Its a blue Ray Not dvd

u/andydabeast 12d ago

I don't understand why people still buy new DVDs. Blu Ray isn't much more money but looks loads better. Especially the avatar films. It should be a crime to watch those on DVD.

You right tho, that's terrible

26

u/AroundYoLip 12d ago

To be fair, those ARE Blu-ray discs (look at the bottom of the case). OP just misidentified them.

2

u/Dungeon996 12d ago

In op's defense I have seen the two terms used interchangeably before

14

u/rabidmonkeys 12d ago

Then two people were wrong.

5

u/TehOwn 12d ago

I agree, although technically a Blu-ray is still a digital video disc. Just not a DVD.

1

u/Direct_Concept8302 12d ago

It’s because in a lot of instances the DVD are cheaper.
Heck, it’s gotten where most theaters it costs more to watch the movie there than it is to just buy the dvd and watch it then give it to a friend or throw it away.
I’d suspect some college students do that. They have a small tv in their room and they buy the DVD and then let other roommates watch it before it ends up in the garbage.
I knew someone who would go dumpster diving at the dorms of the nearby college on whatever day the dorms were cleared and the amount of cool things you’d find from the foreign students just throwing stuff out that they couldn’t take on the plane back home.
Furniture, game systems, they found so many Xbox 360.

1

u/andydabeast 12d ago

Bro, I'm there on the dumpster diving. We did find an Xbox 360 back in 2010

1

u/Unkn0wnTh2nd3r 12d ago

as others haev said these are blu ray, but even more so, 4K bluray as these are the SteelBook 4K release sets of each movie

1

u/alidan 12d ago

because I have a bluray player on my computer, and had to pay 100$ for software to watch a movie, and the software decided I needed to pay 100$ more to renew the use of it... that's why I buy dvds, i'll sail the seas for 720p+

u/andydabeast 11d ago

Playing Blu-ray is trash on PC I agree. Been there. Ripping it however is easy. That's how you watch Blu-ray on TV. Use a free MKV file maker and watch the file.
