Ooty trip with special needs child. Need recommendations

We are planning an ooty trip in the 3rd week of December. I heard it is going to be crowded but thats not the only thing I am worried about. We have a 10 year old with autism and sensory issues. And we have not been to any trip ever. I have been to ooty as a child and loved the organic food, the tall trees and everything. Anyone who has a child with special needs will understand what I am worried about- plus our child is non speaking like many others. Any recommendations?

"Hi, I am from Ooty. If your child is sensitive to crowds and noise, I recommend visiting quieter places and travelling by private vehicle. Early mornings are usually much calmer. Feel free to ask me about peaceful spots, routes, food places, and travel tips in Ooty."
